The entire townhouse was devastatingly flood–damaged by an upper floor washing machine malfunction. The homeowners decided to take advantage of this situation to not only repair the home, but also to make some major space updates. The townhome was completely gutted to the studs throughout all three levels. The main living level was completely reconfigured with walls removed and spaces reimagined. The kitchen and 4 bathrooms were fully renovated. All flooring, trim, tile, fixtures, hardware, countertops, lighting and window treatments were redesigned. All interior elements designed and specified by A.HICKMAN Design.

In a Brookline home, the upstairs hall bath is renovated to reflect the Parisian inspiration the homeowners loved. A black custom vanity and elegant stone countertop with wall-mounted fixtures is surrounded by mirrors on three walls. Graceful black and white marble tile, wainscoting on the walls, and marble tile in the shower are among the features. A modern farmhouse bathroom with herringbone brick floors and wall paneling. We loved the aged brass plumbing and classic cast iron sink.

The newly remodeled hall bath was made more spacious with the addition of a wall-hung toilet. The soffit at the tub was removed, making the space more open and bright. The bold black and white tile and fixtures paired with the green walls matched the homeowners' personality and style.

Modern / Transitional bath remodel. Took an old and tired beige bathroom and turned into a light and clean lined bathroom. Custom designed vanity helps the space feel bigger while utilizing every square inch for storage in this early sixties home.

This kid's bath is designed with three sinks and plenty of storage below. Ceramic handmade tile in shower, and stone-faced bathtub in private bath. Shiplap wainscotting finishes this coastal-inspired design.

his Mid-town Ventura guest bath was in desperate need of remodeling. The alcove (3 sided) tub completely closed off the already small space. We knocked out that wing wall, picked a light and bright palette which gave us an opportunity to pick a fun and adventurous floor! Click through to see the dramatic before and after photos! This bathroom has a modern floating vanity mixed with some retro style fixtures. The shining star of this bathroom is the bathtub which features a stereo that plays through the water!

This small 3/4 bath was added in the space of a large entry way of this ranch house, with the bath door immediately off the master bedroom. At only 39sf, the 3'x8' space houses the toilet and sink on opposite walls, with a 3'x4' alcove shower adjacent to the sink. The key to making a small space feel large is avoiding clutter, and increasing the feeling of height - so a floating vanity cabinet was selected, with a built-in medicine cabinet above. A wall-mounted storage cabinet was added over the toilet, with hooks for towels. The shower curtain at the shower is changed with the whims and design style of the homeowner, and allows for easy cleaning with a simple toss in the washing machine.
