Cloakroom Bathroom in Storrington, West Sussex
Plenty of stylish elements combine in this compact cloakroom, which utilises a unique tile choice and designer wallpaper option.
The Brief
This client wanted to create a unique theme in their downstairs cloakroom, which previously utilised a classic but unmemorable design.
Naturally the cloakroom was to incorporate all usual amenities, but with a design that was a little out of the ordinary.
Design Elements
Utilising some of our more unique options for a renovation, bathroom designer Martin conjured a design to tick all the requirements of this brief.
The design utilises textured neutral tiles up to half height, with the client’s own William Morris designer wallpaper then used up to the ceiling coving. Black accents are used throughout the room, like for the basin and mixer, and flush plate.
To hold hand towels and heat the small space, a compact full-height radiator has been fitted in the corner of the room.
Project Highlight
A lighter but neutral tile is used for the rear wall, which has been designed to minimise view of the toilet and other necessities.
A simple shelf area gives the client somewhere to store a decorative item or two.
The End Result
The end result is a compact cloakroom that is certainly memorable, as the client required.
With only a small amount of space our bathroom designer Martin has managed to conjure an impressive and functional theme for this Storrington client.

Every element of this room was meticulously considered, ensuring that the cloakroom exudes an aura of unparalleled elegance and becomes an unforgettable highlight of the entire interior transformation.
Jennifer A. Emmer/Feng Shui Style
This jewel of a powder room started with our homeowner's obsession with William Morris "Strawberry Thief" wallpaper. After assessing the Feng Shui, we discovered that this bathroom was in her Wealth area. So, we really went to town! Glam, luxury, and extravagance were the watchwords. We added her grandmother's antique mirror, brass fixtures, a brick floor, and voila! A small but mighty powder room.

Navy blue wallpaper with adorable, quirky woodland design featuring foxes and leaves was the highlight of this powder room. It creates a cozy, unique space for guests to utilize. White trim, white wall-mounted sink, and white window treatment help to accent the strong wallpaper design. A custom light fixture was added above the sink to provide additional lighting into this dark space. Gray tiled flooring finishes the design.
Darci Hether New York
Our client for this project is a financier who has a beautiful home in the suburbs but wanted a second home in NYC as he spent 2-4 nights a week in the city. He wanted an upscale pied-à-terre that was soothing, moody, textural, comfortable, and contemporary while also being family-friendly as his college-age children might use it too. The apartment is a new build in Tribeca, and our New York City design studio loved working on this contemporary project. The entryway welcomes you with dark gray, deeply textured wallpaper and statement pieces like the angular mirror and black metal table that are an ode to industrial NYC style. The open kitchen and dining are sleek and flaunt statement metal lights, while the living room features textured contemporary furniture and a stylish bar cart. The bedroom is an oasis of calm and relaxation, with the textured wallpaper playing the design focal point. The luxury extends to the powder room with modern brass pendants, warm-toned natural stone, deep-toned walls, and organic-inspired artwork.

The client wanted a statement…voila… the Doodle Mural from Hovia. Acupanel panelling from the Wood Veneer Hub was given a lick of Calamine paint and black hardware was chosen for the space. An Arezzo extra long curved sink was from Victorian Plumbing as was the Arezzo tap and Turin radiator. The mirror with shelf from Tap Warehouse compliments the black outline theme and provides handy storage for bathroom essentials. Definitely a talking point at their parties.
Ashton Renovations
We completely renovated 2 bathrooms in this downtown Toronto home. The original ensuite was smaller, so we enlarged the space and moved interior walls and modified their closet for a much more functional space. The secondary basement bathroom remained the same size, but we completely remodelled to also allow for a tiled shower with a glass enclosure. We love the simplicity of the designs and also the heated floor systems, which bring warmth and comfort.
