This ocean theme tiled bathroom is the en suite bath for the massive 700 sq. ft. bunk/media/game room at Deja View Villa, a Caribbean vacation rental in St. John USVI. Tile resembling a sandy beach going into the deep blue of Caribbean water was custom hand built one square foot at a time by Susan Jablon Mosaics in New York. Her unique, original mosaics were just what we were looking for to create this dramatic beach theme bathroom! Tongue and groove cypress is used on the ceiling and 96" long floating, mahogany, shaker style cabinets are used to provide lots of storage and counter top space. An updated master bathroom in a vintage 1900 cottage. The modern glassed-in shower enclosure adds 21st century amenities with the mounted towel bar on the door, a rain head shower and hand held sprayer. The knee wall provides privacy for the toilet area and additional storage with the built-in niche on the outside while supporting a corner bench in the shower. Although the tile looks like marble it is actually easy care porcelain. Beaded wainscoting was designed to look original to the period and all moldings were matched to the homes original trim of the door and doorframe. After: This bathroom turned out beautifully! 12x12 porcelain tile graces the shower walls, with a corresponding mosaic border. Brushed nickel accessories accompanied with a clean quartz countertop polish the space. The wood style tile flooring matches well with the wall tile. The David Hockney 1978 art piece Swimming Pool with Reflection inspired this California-cool bathroom. Watery-blue glass mosaic tile spills down the shower wall and out onto the concrete-gray tile floor in puddles. The custom back-painted glass vanity floats on the blue walls and is anchored by a chrome Kohler faucet, adding a modern sophistication to this fun space perfect for a young boy. Gardner/Fox - Gardner/Fox completed this master suite renovation including a master bathroom expansion and renovation, and the creation of a walk-in closet. The new bathroom was doubled in size, after being combined with an unused walk-in closet. The new bathroom hosts a custom built-in vanity and storage, a 40 square-foot glass enclosed shower, and an Albert and Victoria free standing tub. The new closet was converted from a seldom used living space.

A large, less restrictive space can sometimes be a challenge to remodel as the possibilities are truly unlimited. The goal was to create a functional and warm space that still felt open, clean and utilized the large space well. Custom glass panel cabinetry with sliding doors and a central drawer bank features ample storage and even multiple standard outlets inside. Vessel sinks sit atop the custom quartz counters that compliment the stone resin free standing bath. On the back side of the central wall is a walk in, from both sides, his and hers shower. Custom tile through out ties both sides of this large bath together. The shower features multiple niches.
