Working with a long time resident, creating a unified look out of the varied styles found in the space while increasing the size of the home was the goal of this project. Both of the home’s bathrooms were renovated to further the contemporary style of the space, adding elements of color as well as modern bathroom fixtures. Further additions to the master bathroom include a frameless glass door enclosure, green wall tiles, and a stone bar countertop with wall-mounted faucets. The guest bathroom uses a more minimalistic design style, employing a white color scheme, free standing sink and a modern enclosed glass shower. The kitchen maintains a traditional style with custom white kitchen cabinets, a Carrera marble countertop, banquet seats and a table with blue accent walls that add a splash of color to the space.

Featured in Home & Design Magazine, this Chevy Chase home was inspired by Hugh Newell Jacobsen and built/designed by Anthony Wilder's team of architects and designers.

Spectacular views, a tricky site and the desirability of maintaining views and light for adjacent neighbors inspired our design for this new house in Clarendon Heights. The facade features subtle shades of stucco, coordinating dark aluminum windows and a bay element which twists to capture views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Built into an upsloping site, retaining walls allowed us to create a bi-level rear yard with the lower part at the main living level and an elevated upper deck with sweeping views of San Francisco. The interiors feature an open plan, high ceilings, luxurious finishes and a dramatic curving stair with metal railings which swoop up to a second-floor sky bridge. Well-placed windows, including clerestories flood all of the interior spaces with light.

Gray tones abound in this master bathroom which boasts a large walk-in shower with a tub, lighted mirrors, wall mounted fixtures, and floating vanities.

This homeowner’s master bathroom was a very popular style during the 90’s. Although, white can make a space feel larger, the bathroom was bland and needed an update. Soft neutral walls, marble tile throughout and shaker style Waypoint Cabinets, make this elegant bathroom a perfect place to wake up in the morning and unwind at night. There are many features in this bathroom that we love. The veining pattern of the beautiful White Carrara marble tops and tub deck added just the right amount of contrast to this bathroom. Honed Bianco Perla Marble tiles were used in the shower and on the floor. The frameless shower reveals the finer details of this design with a basket weave tile accent band on the shower back wall, basket weave tile in the niche and on the shower floor. Bullnose tile was used to frame the window instead of wood trim and was also used inside the niche. Expansive framed mirrors enlarge the room and reflect back the window light and the beauty of the shower and tub. Heated floor mats beneath the tiles with programmable thermostat are unseen but will be highly appreciated by this home owner. No more walking on cold tiles! The transformation of this bathroom is luxurious! White and Grey was used in this space which resulted in a crisp, elegant updated look that will remain in style for years to come. The main Ensuite is a simple palette of white joinery, Carrara marble and white tiles. The dark mirror cabinets provides a nice contrast and ties in with the joinery handles.

A generic kids bathroom got a total overhaul. Those who know this client would identify the shoutouts to their love of all things Hamilton, The Musical. Aged Brass Steampunk fixtures, Navy vanity and Floor to ceiling white tile fashioned to read as shiplap all grounded by a classic and warm marbleized chevron tile that could have been here since the days of AHam himself. Bold Brass accents and marble flooring style this bathroom feminine classic with a touch of vintage elegance. This glamorous Mountain View ensuite bathroom features a custom crisp white double sink and lit mirrored vanity, crystal Knobs, eye catching brass fixtures, a warm jet soaking tub and a stylish barn door that provides the perfect amount of privacy. Accent metallic glass tile add the perfect touch of modern masculinity in the corner stand up shower and tub niches, every inch of this master bathroom was well designed and took new levels to adding stylish design to functionality. This amazing master bathroom features tile from AKDO and Artistic Tile. Bath hardware and fixtures are by Kohler. Mirrors are custom. Vanity is by Kohler with retrofitted Asian hardware. I wanted to continue a Medieval motif (in keeping with the rest of the home), so I found this unique and extraordinarily beautiful mosaic, to create a central focal wall and a feature wall over the vanity. I also wanted to incorporate round shapes to break up the hard angles of the room, with custom-made mirrors continuing that shape. The end result is a clean and modern space that still feels warm and comfortable but really amps up the modern feel of the space.
