This master bathroom was plain and boring, but was full of potential when we began this renovation. With a vaulted ceiling and plenty of room, this space was ready for a complete transformation. The wood accent wall ties in beautifully with the exposed wooden beams across the ceiling. The chandelier and more modern elements like the tilework and soaking tub balance the rustic aspects of this design to keep it cozy but elegant.

Large bathroom design combines elements from both Modern and Traditional styles. Utilizing the neutral color palette of Modern design and Traditional textures and finishes creates a style that is timeless. A lack of embellishment and decoration creates a sophisticated space. Strait lines, mixed with curved, evokes a balance in the masculine and feminine. Modern tile work combined with traditional materials is often used.

Demolition of existing bathroom tub/shower, tile walls and fixtures. Complete replacement of drywall and cement backer board. Removal of existing tile floor and floated with a self leveling compound. Replacement of all existing plumbing and electrical rough-in to make ready for new fixtures. Installation of fiberglass shower pan and installation of new water proof vinyl wall tile in shower. Installation of new waterproof laminate flooring, wall wainscot and door trim. Upgraded vanity and toilet, and all new fixtures (shower faucet, sink faucet, light fixtures, towel hooks, etc)

However small your space, it's always good to make room for storage, so you can hide away all the necessary bathroom detritus and create a calming place to relax. This cabinet, retained from the original room, adds a little bit of history, proving that you don't have to change absolutely everything when creating a new scheme. Walls clad in Easipanel MDF cladding, painted in Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Blue Estate Eggshell. Walls painted in Farrow and Ball Wevet Estate Emulsion. Quikstep Impressive Laminate Flooring. Hand-painted wall cabinet.

Like many other homeowners, the Moore’s were looking to remove their non used soaker tub and optimize their bathroom to better suit their needs. We achieved this for them be removing the tub and increasing their vanity wall area with a tall matching linen cabinet for storage. This still left a nice space for Mr. to have his sitting area, which was important to him. Their bathroom prior to remodeling had a small and enclosed fiberglass shower stall with the toilet in front. We relocated the toilet, where a linen closet used to be, and made its own room for it. Also, we increased the depth of the shower and made it tile to give them a more spacious space with a half wall and glass hinged door.

Senior Cottage The Senior Cottage was a community project for the Frederick County Housing Trust along with Frederick County Building Industry Association. Students from Frederick County Public Schools Career and Technology Center constructed this cottage to create awareness for the need for skilled trades and showcase the cottage as an option for senior housing. We were honored to be a part of the team and lend my skill as a designer to this project.
