The challenge was to create a modern, minimalist structure that did not interfere with the natural setting but rather seemed nestled in and part of the landscape while blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces. Special Features and Details: • wood floor, ceiling and exterior deck all run in the same direction drawing the eye toward the water view below • valence encompassing the living space aligns with the face of the loft floor and conceals window shades and uplighting. • pocket doors are flush with the ceiling adding to the feeling of one room flowing into the other when the doors are open • ample storage tucks into the walls unobtrusively • baseboards are set in, flush with the walls separated by a channel detail. • deck appears to float, creating a sense of weightlessness. This detail repeats at the bedside tables and bathroom vanity • obscured glass window in shower provides light and privacy

Go bold or go home! We often find that people are afraid to commit to a bold color...even where paint is concerned. Not this time! We suggested a KAPOW of orange glass tile as the accent, and now we can't imagine this room without it! We gutted the standard, apartment style tub with the directive - "the bigger the better" for the new shower. And isn't the marble tile just gorgeous!!!! Well it's actually a porcelain - so no sealing required and no worries of etching the surface. I used to be such a snob about using "faux" materials, but many companies have really upped their game in this department, and the maintenance (or lack thereof) and the cost just can't be beat. Beautiful styling and practical use of space make this traditional style shower enclosure really special. The glass enclosed, walk in shower makes the best use of a small space with a rainhead shower and hand shower next to a practical bench. To the side of the bench, a large recessed alcove has space enough for all your shower needs without the clutter.

This powder room has a simple, clean, modern, unadorned feel and look. A floating stone vanity with a rectangular, integrated under mount sink offers a clean appeal. The faucet was off set in order to avoid moving the existing plumbing and the wallpaper was added for a nice but light textural feel and look.
