A master bathroom we dressed in cool, coastal blues and sea greens. We gave this bathroom a colorful but minimalist style, creating a refreshing, clean, and spa-like feel. The crisp white freestanding tub is placed near the tiled accent wall (a full-wall adorned in micro blue and green tiles). A floating glass shelf offers the perfect amount of space to place bath products while staying transparent and uncluttered. Behind the tub are two separate spaces, one of the large walk-in shower and the other for the toilet. The vanity boasts beautiful cabinets, silver hardware, and a lustrous shell-like backsplash. Project designed by Courtney Thomas Design in La Cañada. Serving Pasadena, Glendale, Monrovia, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, and Altadena. The cabinetry in this bathroom was completely re-worked, with additional storage provided in an over-the-toilet cabinet and an updated linen cabinet with convenient shelving and a hamper. The new vanity matches the raised-panel style, with deep storage drawers and cabinets below the new sink. Above the vanity is a large, beveled-edge mirror and decorative lighting, providing a modern look. Sleek crown moulding, fresh paint, and strategically placed LED can lights create a high-end finish and sense of completion. You’ll notice that the floor tiles in this bathroom are also laid at a 45-degree angle, just as in the first bathroom. Doing so eliminates the prominence of the grout lines, making the room feel bigger. Final Photos by Impressia.net

This 6,000sf luxurious custom new construction 5-bedroom, 4-bath home combines elements of open-concept design with traditional, formal spaces, as well. Tall windows, large openings to the back yard, and clear views from room to room are abundant throughout. The 2-story entry boasts a gently curving stair, and a full view through openings to the glass-clad family room. The back stair is continuous from the basement to the finished 3rd floor / attic recreation room. The interior is finished with the finest materials and detailing, with crown molding, coffered, tray and barrel vault ceilings, chair rail, arched openings, rounded corners, built-in niches and coves, wide halls, and 12' first floor ceilings with 10' second floor ceilings. It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac in a wooded neighborhood, surrounded by old growth trees. The homeowners, who hail from Texas, believe that bigger is better, and this house was built to match their dreams. The brick - with stone and cast concrete accent elements - runs the full 3-stories of the home, on all sides. A paver driveway and covered patio are included, along with paver retaining wall carved into the hill, creating a secluded back yard play space for their young children. A builder grade bathroom gets a major upgrade. The client was amazing as she did this remodel while having a torn Achilles tendon while she was in a boot before and after surgery all while her husband was out of town for work. This prompted the request for a large, curbless shower with a barn door. We removed the dated unused corner tub to expand the shower and added a bench under the window for additional storage. The vanity got a functional make-over with better storage for toiletries. His and hers pull-outs and drawers provided ample space. The traditional fixtures blend with the more contemporary tile and color pallet giving the bathroom an elegant soothing feel.

Our clients originally built this home many years ago on an acreage and raised their family in it. Its a beautiful property. They were looking to preserve some of the elements they loved but update the look and feel of the home blending traditional with modern, while adding some new up-to-date features. The entire main and second floors were re-modeled. Custom master bedroom cabinetry, wood-look vinyl plank flooring, a new chef's kitchen, three updated bathrooms, and vaulted cedar ceiling are only some of the beautiful features.

Behind the clear sliding glass door is beautiful travertine subway tile turning the shower into a natural stone rejuvenating space. Travertine corner shelves fit beautifully without drawing attention and blending right in while also providing plenty of shelf space.
