This 3200 square foot home features a maintenance free exterior of LP Smartside, corrugated aluminum roofing, and native prairie landscaping. The design of the structure is intended to mimic the architectural lines of classic farm buildings. The outdoor living areas are as important to this home as the interior spaces; covered and exposed porches, field stone patios and an enclosed screen porch all offer expansive views of the surrounding meadow and tree line. The home’s interior combines rustic timbers and soaring spaces which would have traditionally been reserved for the barn and outbuildings, with classic finishes customarily found in the family homestead. Walls of windows and cathedral ceilings invite the outdoors in. Locally sourced reclaimed posts and beams, wide plank white oak flooring and a Door County fieldstone fireplace juxtapose with classic white cabinetry and millwork, tongue and groove wainscoting and a color palate of softened paint hues, tiles and fabrics to create a completely unique Door County homestead. This master bathroom was a challenge. It is so TINY and there was no room to expand it in any direction. So I did all the walls in glass tile (top to bottom) to actually keep it less busy with broken up lines. When you walk into this bathroom it's like walking into a jewerly box. It's stunning and it feels so much bigger too...We added a corner cabinet for more storage and that helped. The kitchen was entirely enclosed and we opened it up and did the columns in stone to match other elements of the house.

This shade of green perfectly compliments the marble and brass palette to the kids bathroom. Brass tapware features throughout the house - you can just make out the impressive overhead shower with hand held shower combo reflected in the mirror. The tall cabinet features loads of extra storage above and a laundry chute below.

This small guest bath has so much to love with the amazing hexagon tiled wall, open shelves above the toilet and patterned shower curtain.
