Both eclectic and refined, the bathrooms at our Summer Hill project are unique and reflects the owners lifestyle. Beach style, yet unequivocally elegant the floors feature encaustic concrete tiles paired with elongated white subway tiles. Aged brass taper by Brodware is featured as is a freestanding black bath and fittings and a custom made timber vanity.

With purpose in mind, the primary bathroom was transformed into a spa-like retreat. Dated wallpaper was removed and replaced with soothing cream color paint and gold fixtures. The bathroom features copious linen storage, a walk-in shower, and his and her vanities that are custom designed with dark maple Dura Supreme cabinetry in a Java finish and topped with Crema Marfil marble countertops. These homeowners wanted to update their 1990’s bathroom with a statement tub to retreat and relax. The primary bathroom was outdated and needed a facelift. The homeowner’s wanted to elevate all the finishes and fixtures to create a luxurious feeling space. From the expanded vanity with wall sconces on each side of the gracefully curved mirrors to the plumbing fixtures that are minimalistic in style with their fluid lines, this bathroom is one you want to spend time in. Adding a sculptural free-standing tub with soft curves and elegant proportions further elevated the design of the bathroom. Heated floors make the space feel elevated, warm, and cozy. White Carrara tile is used throughout the bathroom in different tile size and organic shapes to add interest. A tray ceiling with crown moulding and a stunning chandelier with crystal beads illuminates the room and adds sparkle to the space. Natural materials, colors and textures make this a Master Bathroom that you would want to spend time in.

Focusing here on the custom bow-front vanity with marble countertop and a pair of vertical wall sconces flanking the mirror over a single under-mount sink. The white and grey glass mosaic tile colors relate to this luxurious bathroom’s foggy Bay Area location, and the silver finish tones in. Vertical light fixtures either side of the mirror make for perfect balance when shaving or applying make-up. Oversized floor tiles outside the shower echo the smaller floor tiles inside. All the colors are working in harmony for a peaceful and uplifting space.

This bathtub area was inspired by the Japanese idea of shinrin yoku, or forest bathing. The soaking tub was positioned beneath a large window letting in forest views. Hexagonal marble tiles create a snappy geometric pattern on the floor. A small room used to hold this primary bathroom's toilet. Reconfiguring the space—and taking out that small space—allowed designer Alexandra Lauren to add a large window and wet room, and let in pretty views and lots of natural light.
