The master bedroom and bathroom were very outdated and the layout quite dysfunctional in this 1950's Bloomfield Village home. Therefore, the space was completely redesigned. Borrowing space from an adjacent bedroom, we created a luxurious bathroom and an extra-large walk-in closet. That adjacent bedroom became an upstairs laundry and craft room.

Conversion of a small ranch house to a larger simplified-Craftsman style house. We retained most of the original house, rearranging a few walls to improve an awkward layout in the original house, and added a partial second story and converted a covered patio space to a dining and family room. The clients had read Sarah Susanka’s Not So Big books and wanted to use these principles in making a beautiful and ecological house that uses space efficiently.

We used the concept of a European wet room to maximize shower space. The natural and aqua color scheme is carried through here and seen in the unique tile inset. The straight lines of the brick set tile are offset by the organic pebble floor.

Eager to update and get rid of the pedestal sink in the powder room, this repeat client in Concord contacted us. With our partner, Amany Design Studio, we created a Georgian style bathroom that provided more storage. The powder room is proportioned and balanced and the tile floor adds a timeless elegance. For the vanity, we built a custom pull-out drawer to maximize storage which was greatly lacking.

The primary bathroom has a black and white theme. We chose a fun pattern for the shower tile and we added black finishes. The shower bench is the same as the same material as the vanity.

Last, but not least, we created a master bath oasis for this amazing family to relax in... look at that flooring! The space had an angular shape, so we made the most of the area by creating a spacious walk-in shower with bench seat. The freestanding soaking tub is a focal point and provides hours of relaxation after a long day. The double sink vanity and full wall mirror round out the room and make husband and wife getting ready a breeze.
