After the AntiqueIn the heart of Africa, this was an inspiring project to be part of. A stunning and luxurious new safari lodge was being built in the hills in Kenya, and the project required several significant fireplaces in the main rooms. A vital element of the design brief was that the fireplaces should reflect the wildlife that can be found around the house. Each fireplace is unique to its room, and different scenes of elephants, buffalos, lions and impala can be seen in the different fireplaces.
The Master bathroom in this house had a spectacular view across the plains and needed a luxurious bath in which to lie and look out over the vista. We made a solid roll top marble bath from which to enjoy the views.

Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co.Jewel powder room with wall-mounted bronze faucets, rectangular copper sink mounted on a wooden pedestal stand crafted in our artisanal custom cabinetry shop. Although the walls look like gold striped wall paper with applied jewels, they are actually faux painted - surprise! Notice also the generous crown moulding.
J Boulet DesignWe used Ikea narrow sinks here, to help save space. A bright yellow accent tile adds a punch of color next to the white tile and sinks.
Karen Ellentuck. ASIDThis is the water closet for the master bath with a tile wainscot. The marble flooring continues in there from the main area of the bath and the wainscot was added to give the space some character.
Mikiten ArchitectureGlass tiles were interspersed in a field of less-costly ceramic tile to create a literal splash of color while controlling the budget.

Wyland Interior Design CenterSimplistic sophistication was achieved with a touch of modern influence. The main objective to this master bathroom remodel was to achieve low maintenance and functionality. Some of the materials used were combinations of porcelain tile, natural stone mosaic and chair rail and Caesarstone quartz counter top. With the use of Laticrete Spectralock epoxy grout, the client will never need to worry about mold, mildew or stains. Cabinets are from DeWil's Custom Cabinetry in their Designer Line.
Lenox House DesignAn antique sink basin from the original cottage on the property serves and a vanity for our vessel sink. Because this bath has no natural light, it designed with white floors and white walls to be sure it didn't feel dark. Striped blue tile lines the tub walls providing a much needed punch of color. A soft blue was painted on the sink basin and its coordinating sink ledge. The small round mirror was also original to the cottage, so many parts of this room have sentimental value.
Bailiwick Interior DesignRenovation of powder room to incorporate travertine tile from adjacent foyer. Classic black and white tile flooring offsets the black vanity and dramatic Asian influenced mirror. The bathroom goes beyond transitional to a style all it's own!
