A minimal, Japanese style, zen and tranquil white bedroom.
The bed is a custom-made, low, plywood box plinth with a simple, oblong headboard, built by a local artisan carpenter and dressed with crisp, white linen.
Suspended above matching low, plywood bedside tables are hand-blown, white, opaque, glass pendants on light grey fabric cords. A bonsai ficus tree in a terrarium sits on one bedside table.
The grey washed oak floor is covered by a black and white geometric woven wool rug.
On the far wall is a low plywood shelf with a blue Japanese tea bowl and a postcard.
The mood is zen and tranquil.

This twenty year old Bayside home was in need of some updating. The owners wanted a beautiful master bedroom space that was not only comfortable but also a place they enjoyed relaxing in. Custom bedhead, furniture and curtains were designed to create this special look. Photog by Jodie Baker Photography

My client's daughter had recently started secondary school and wanted a more grown up feel for her bedroom and a bigger bed! My client and her daughter had already selected the lilac paint colour before I came on board. I added the elegant black and white wallpaper and pretty floral fabric for contrast and to give the scheme a more sophisticated feel. The scheme can be tweaked as my client's daughter gets older by changing bedding, cushions or the paint colour. I sourced a bed, headboard, lighting, soft furnishings including a beautiful blind, cushions and bedding and furniture for a study area.

The pitch roof, lends itself to a feature colour in this otherwise grownup children’s bedroom.

We developed the Master suite scheme with an emphasis on simplicity, tranquillity and clean lines to showcase the client's cherished possessions, combining muted tones, textures and sumptuous finishes to emulate a luxurious hotel suite.

Scandi-Industrial bedroom featuring a striking wood panel feature wall that brings a natural warmth to the space. With its minimalist design, this bedroom is both stylish and functional, providing a peaceful sanctuary for a good night's sleep. The clever use of materials and textures, such as the exposed brick wall and the plush bedding, create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
