Jorge Ulibarri Custom Homes
The Tuscan inspired kitchen of Villa Hernandez plays on contrasts with a modern, stainless steel commercial grade refrigerator, dark cabinetry and a cream-colored kitchen island. A barrel ceiling of beams and travertine stone insets softens the rusticity of the space. The home was designed and built by Orlando Custom Home Builder Jorge Ulibarri. Photo by Harvey Smith

Kitchens are magical and this chef wanted a kitchen full of the finest appliances and storage accessories available to make this busy household function better. We were working with the curved wood windows but we opened up the wall between the kitchen and family room, which allowed for a expansive countertop for the family to interact with the accomplished home chef. The flooring was not changed we simply worked with the floor plan and improved the layout.
Pineapple House Interior Design
To open up this kitchen, Pineapple House designers replace the foyer wall with and interior window over the right kitchen counter. The window will slide open if you want to pass anything through it. The hallway was wide enough to cabinetry along one wall, thereby expanding the storage options. Mother of pearl tiles give the backsplash a glimmering quality.

This homeowner wanted to increase the size of her kitchen and make it a family center during gatherings. The old dining room was brought into the kitchen, doubling the size and dining room moved to the old formal living area. Shaker Cabinets in a pale yellow were installed and the island was done with bead board highlighted to accent the exterior. A baking center on the right side was built lower to accommodate the owner who is an active bread maker. That counter was installed with Carrara Marble top. Glass subway tile was installed as the backsplash. The Island counter top is book matched walnut from Devos Woodworking in Dripping Springs Tx. It is an absolute show stopper when you enter the kitchen. Pendant lighting is a multipe light with the appearance of old insulators which the owner has collected over the years. Open Shelving, glass fronted cabinets and specialized drawers for trash, dishes and knives make this kitchen the owners wish list complete.

Our homeowner has an extensive collection of native american baskets and artwork...so we chose to use this matte glazed porcelain backsplash tile as a reference to her heirloom collection.

Beautiful Kitchen with a view. This Design was to suit all people as it is a guest House. The brief was very clear - would also have elderly people staying and needed to suit everyone. Was not to break the budget.

A celebration of lightness and height. This sophisticated kitchen remodel brings the beautiful outdoors inside in the most modern way with its subtle combination of shades and textures. Light travertine tile floors and warm white walls create a soft background for the linear pattern Cypress cabinets that run the perimeter and extend to the highest point of the sloped ceiling. A pair of wall cabinets have fold-up doors in coffee glass. Engineered quartz counters repeat the warm white as does the custom painted i-beam table base. Easily accessible storage space behind the stainless tambour doors cleanly conceals multiple small appliances. A large Galley sink makes multi-tasking a breeze with its adjustable accessories. The iconic artichoke pendant adds a touch of the mid-century modern charm.
