Large scale, mid-century modern light fixture sets off this breakfast nook and ties to island pendant lighting, adding a nice sharp black contrast to layers of white and grays.

With enormous rectangular beams and round log posts, the Spanish Peaks House is a spectacular study in contrasts. Even the exterior—with horizontal log slab siding and vertical wood paneling—mixes textures and styles beautifully. An outdoor rock fireplace, built-in stone grill and ample seating enable the owners to make the most of the mountain-top setting.
Inside, the owners relied on Blue Ribbon Builders to capture the natural feel of the home’s surroundings. A massive boulder makes up the hearth in the great room, and provides ideal fireside seating. A custom-made stone replica of Lone Peak is the backsplash in a distinctive powder room; and a giant slab of granite adds the finishing touch to the home’s enviable wood, tile and granite kitchen. In the daylight basement, brushed concrete flooring adds both texture and durability.

We Got Lites
The combination of wood and iron is a historic pairing of materials inspired by the early days of colonial America. Solid wood is either turned or milled to provide an understated hand-made character. The colonial maple finish compliments the vintage rust metalwork while the wheat linen shades cast a warm glow of light.

Dining room was long and narrow added glass/metal carts in the bay window for serving, area rug to soften the tiled floor and beautiful window treatment panels that mimic the framed art with tree branches in gold/cream colors along with roman shades for privacy. Paint colors to soften the room and the ceiling a metallic silver.

The dining room was redesigned and the chimney breast removed to allow for a more generous layout. The space is fairly minimalist but we kept it warm with the use of a textured wallpaper. A new large fixed glazing panel was added to allow light to flood the room.
