OMNIA Group ArchitectsWhat happens when everything and everyone comes together? This project, an outdoor living and entertainment environment anchored by an OMNIA Group Architects designed poolhouse, is a perfect example of synergy of client and a team of skilled and talented professionals and craftsman. It started with a sophisticated client looking to put in a pool - but they wanted something special and the form they decided on was a beautiful shape which blended the shapes of their land, the sun and the existing house structure (also designed by OMNIA Group Architects.) The client had toyed with the idea of a cabana / pool house of some sort and contacted us to design it. We worked together to create an indoor - outdoor experience of infinite flexibility. Featuring folding walls of glass (www.nanawall.com) this wood and stone and stucco structure seamlessly blends formality and a sleek nature inspired modern character. This essence is enhanced by neutral hues which reflect the colors of the home and the pool decking. These neutrals are punctuated by natural wood browns and subtle greens on the cabinetry. The poolhouse is comprised of an encloseable dining space, an arbor capped living space which features a fireplace for cooler fall nights, a dressing area with washer dryer and ingenious OMNIA Group Architects designed cabinetry for towels and storage and finally a cool simple powder room. A typical example of the melding of features is how the vertical grain of the grass colored bamboo bar cabinet doors mimic the tall modern grasses specified by the landscape designer, Landscape Design Group. The pool was designed and built by Armond Pools. THe project is located in Skippack, Pennsylvania.
Ryan Hughes DesignTiled in shades of crisp blue by Vidrepur in Titanium, the infinity spa is perfectly situated to keep the conversation flowing alongside two weather resistant Signature Chaises by Ledge Lounger on the baja shelf. Areca palms sit atop stone and tile planters and are lit for ambiance and enjoyment.

Mike Farley Pool Designer, SWD, ASLAThis pool project has some cool elements all combined together to create an outdoor playground. The main focal point from the house is the raised wall that contains a fire bar with stainless steel spill edges and flower pots. The spa seats 8 people comfortably, is raised 18" and has rolled glass tile with spill edges that match the pool spill edges. There is a nice cozy seating area around the sunken fireplace made for cushions and comfort. Right next to it is space for a table and chairs. Artificial grass was used to give a really lush feel to the project along with low maintence. The PebbleSheen color is Aqua Blue. We used Austin stone and Leuder's limestone (bullnozed on the chair backings and spa). The bar area has a overhang for the barstools. The large tanning ledge centers on the main door. On the far side away from the fireplace is a really cool bed swing area inspired by the owners' trip to the Carribean. It's a queen size mattress hanging from the cedar arbor that has an acrylic panel to keep the rain out. Curtains are for privacy & to help keep the sun out when wanted. Studio H Landscape ArchitectureThis project is located in the Turtle Ridge community near UCI in Irvine. With an existing pool, our goal was to create a Modern inviting space with multiple entertaining areas. The unique areas include a firepit and lounging area at one of the pool with Tuscan styled planting, at the other end is a Modern pass-through fireplace with fire balls and a custom water fountain spilling into the pool. The fireplace wraps around to include a barbecue and bar area with an Ipe wood deck seating lounge. Just off the bar area is a zen garden with custom water features spilling from the gabion walls, a pebble contemplation garden, and bamboo planting. As you pass through the Zen Garden you enter the Tuscan themed entertaining space with corten steel planters, citrus trees, and decomposed granite.
A few of the materials included in this project are as follows: Limestone paving, concrete coping,gabion walls, limestone veneer,concrete countertops,custom stainless steel scuppers,1" glass tile veneer, large wood beams,glass rails,ipe wood,rolled pebble and succulent planting.
