Inspired by the majesty of the Northern Lights and this family's everlasting love for Disney, this home plays host to enlighteningly open vistas and playful activity. Like its namesake, the beloved Sleeping Beauty, this home embodies family, fantasy and adventure in their truest form. Visions are seldom what they seem, but this home did begin 'Once Upon a Dream'. Welcome, to The Aurora.

Photo: Shaun Cammack The goal of the project was to create a modern log cabin on Coeur D’Alene Lake in North Idaho. Uptic Studios considered the combined occupancy of two families, providing separate spaces for privacy and common rooms that bring everyone together comfortably under one roof. The resulting 3,000-square-foot space nestles into the site overlooking the lake. A delicate balance of natural materials and custom amenities fill the interior spaces with stunning views of the lake from almost every angle. We embrace collaboration: Working with the incomparable Agnes Bourne, we created a residence at once rustic and rare, in concert with its surroundings. The one-of-a-kind palette featured reclaimed timbers, Montana moss stone, custom furniture in leather, mohair and linen plus pops of crimson.

A timber frame porch provides our client with stunning views of the property below.

The view of the Doe Bay Resort is enjoyed from the reclaimed wide plank wood deck. This tree house was built and designed by the The Treehouse Guys. I staged the area with Adirondack chairs, planters and a jute indoor/outdoor carpet.

Dieser hübsche kleine Balkon wurde fast gar nicht genutzt. Das ist so schade, denn mit der Süd-West-Ausrichtung hat man hier wunderbare Abendsonne. Nach dem schnellen Styling-Einsatz konnte das Paar noch am gleichen Abend gemütlich bei einem Sun-Downer den Balkon und die Abendstimmung genießen.
