Custom-designed headboards

The owners of the Art Deco-era Dux Mansion on Mallorca asked us to create headboards in keeping with the style of the home and match the rich Spanish colors throughout the floors, walls and grounds. ⁣ .⁣ We painted the first of our headboards with varying shades of green: some soft and others a stark military hue. The idea was to pick up on the variegated textures of the lush palm trees + other plants that surround the mansion.⁣ .⁣ Our vintage hemp is hand stitched in Eastern Europe, and each panel is different: some have looser weaves and others quite tight & straight. These irregular textures coupled with our rough brushstrokes allow us to create completely unique & one-of-a-kind headboards.⁣ .⁣
