The brief for this project was to marry the traditional old Cotswold house with the modern extension. We used fabrics to translate this concept, through the use of bold colours and modern patterns, in order to unite the old with the new. Each room brings together new colours and patterns to evoke a new mood and story throughout the house.

In the bedroom, we incorporated a deep rich shade of blue by using wallpaper. Carefully considering which walls to cover in this bold print, we chose to highlight the antique fireplace. Looking closely, you’ll see the watercolor floral wallpaper has a cork-like texture, and birch logs in the fireplace are a nod to that as well. With a statement wallpaper like this one, the other items in the room can be quieter– pale walls, a neutral rug, repurposed dressers let the wallpaper be the star. An upholstered blue bed and blanket also tie back into the blue throughout the home.

Guest room painted in Little Greene Mid 'Rolling Fog Mid' , with an accent wall covered in Archive Trails I, PARADISE - FEATHER wallpaper. The background in the wallpaper is also Rolling Fog and there are neon accents in it to make the paper feel more contemporary.
The green bed is the Bermondsey from Sofas & Stuff covered in Napoli Viridian, a cotton velvet. The side table is from Swoon Editions and has a campaign style to it. The lamp is from Pooky and so is the yellow velvet shade.
The bedding and throw are from Designers Guild.
The unusual mirror is from exclusivemirrors.com - you don't need to go antiques hunting to find a unique piece like this.
Cushion designers like Natalia Willmott (My Billet Doux, front left) and Laura Loves (this is the Evelyn Floral Silk & Velvet Cushion Blue Green, front right) were chosen for the guest bed.
