The entry path descends through three terraces. The first with a small orchard, the second with annual vegetables, and the third with ornamentals. Vaulted metal roofing shelters the bike garage which is beamed into the hillside. The stone retaining wall was inspired by the layering of the local sandstone, and creative craftsman style brickwork.

The steep slope from the street to the lake also serves as an occasional boat ramp hence we used turf-stone under grass to stabilize the turf.

The Pavilion form House was carefully sited to take maximum advantage of views on all four sides. The main challenge was how to create a platform for the house on a naturally sloping farm field so that it could nestle in. Terracing the lawn down to the level of the pond (as Thomas Jefferson did at Monticello) creates a graceful transition and unites the natural landscape with the sculpted.

Our customers love a loo with a view. This was our loo in the trees at our previous nursery in Nuthurst. We are now open at the new nursery just outside Pulborough. We have created the same style of buildings and the feel of Nuthurst whilst leaving the loo behind........
