Pineapple House Interior Design
Entering the single-story home, a custom double front door leads into a foyer with a 14’ tall, vaulted ceiling design imagined with stained planks and slats. The foyer floor design contrasts white dolomite slabs with the warm-toned wood floors that run throughout the rest of the home. Both the dolomite and engineered wood were selected for their durability, water resistance, and most importantly, ability to withstand the south Florida humidity. With many elements of the home leaning modern, like the white walls and high ceilings, mixing in warm wood tones ensures that the space still feels inviting and comfortable.

The kitchen sink is uniquely positioned to overlook the home’s former atrium and is bathed in natural light from a modern cupola above. The original floorplan featured an enclosed glass atrium that was filled with plants where the current stairwell is located. The former atrium featured a large tree growing through it and reaching to the sky above. At some point in the home’s history, the atrium was opened up and the glass and tree were removed to make way for the stairs to the floor below. The basement floor below is adjacent to the cave under the home. You can climb into the cave through a door in the home’s mechanical room. I can safely say that I have never designed another home that had an atrium and a cave. Did I mention that this home is very special?

BRADSHAW DESIGNS LLC
Warm and inviting this new construction home, by New Orleans Architect Al Jones, and interior design by Bradshaw Designs, lives as if it's been there for decades. Charming details provide a rich patina. The old Chicago brick walls, the white slurried brick walls, old ceiling beams, and deep green paint colors, all add up to a house filled with comfort and charm for this dear family.

What a spectacular welcome to this mountain retreat. A trio of chandeliers hang above a custom copper door while a narrow bridge spans across the curved stair.

Facing the carport, this entrance provides a substantial boundary to the exterior world without completely closing off one's range of view. The continuation of the Limestone walls and Hemlock ceiling serves an inviting transition between the spaces.

We revived this Vintage Charmer w/ modern updates. SWG did the siding on this home a little over 30 years ago and were thrilled to work with the new homeowners on a renovation.
Removed old vinyl siding and replaced with James Hardie Fiber Cement siding and Wood Cedar Shakes (stained) on Gable. We installed James Hardie Window Trim, Soffit, Fascia and Frieze Boards. We updated the Front Porch with new Wood Beam Board, Trim Boards, Ceiling and Lighting. Also, installed Roof Shingles at the Gable end, where there used to be siding to reinstate the roofline.
