Accent LandscapesThis landscape renovation was performed over a period of time and makes outstanding use of a beautiful property in Upper Skyway. Key features of the renovation include a detached garage and swimming pool. The space was personalized with a sports court, greenhouse and garden potting shed, bocce ball court, putting green, play set with sunken trampoline, fire pit, retaining walls, and new concrete driveways and walkways to connect the new spaces. The areas were finished with attractive plantings, seeding, and lawns.

Mark Payne Landscape DesignA project that we have overseen for several years now through different phases and evolutions this garden truly changes character with each season. A Grade II listed farmhouse dating back to the early 17th century; a contemporary wing was planned and our brief was to create a garden that embraced both the traditional and the modern. The swimming pool and terrace sit amidst a wildflower meadow which banks up to enclose the space providing a private sunbathing idyll. The meadow extends to a small orchard where fruit trees are surrounded by cosmos, cornflower and wild poppies. Large prairie style planted beds showcase grasses that provide both movement and architectural form catching both the early morning light and frost. An avenue of parasol trained plane trees lead from the house through the orchard to the natural pool. A collaboration with award winning blacksmith James Price produced the bespoke lightweight pergola providing a structure over the dining terrace for the newly planted wisteria. Mark’s signature flourishes can again be seen in the hand-laid terrace mosaics using the salvaged tiles from the original 17th century roof. - Mark Payne Landscape Design

Justine DewitteAu cœur de l’Entre Deux Mers, non loin de Saint Emilion, le domaine viticole de Château Roquefort est une propriété familiale chargée d’histoire, il est situé dans le sud du département de la Gironde sur la commune de Cours-Les-Bains. Il s’étend sur 240 hectares, dont 100 ha de vignes, dans une région magnifique que certains nomment « la petite Toscane ».
Le pavillon de dégustation accueille du public pour des séminaires, des ateliers, des réceptions. Le jardin, naturel, vient assoir et accompagner l'architecture de pierre et le paysage au caractère fort.
L'allée couverte, datant de l’époque néolithique, située à l’arrière du pavillon de dégustation, est remise en valeur. Les arbres majestueux et magnifiques sont repositionnés au centre des points de vues, le jardin s'efface en venant accentuer la nature qui l'entoure.
La palette végétale naturelle est composée d'essences locales, fleuries et adaptées au climat chaud et au sol calcaire.

Accent LandscapesThis patio serves as the central gathering place and is generous in scale. A gas fire feature siting at one end looks over the large pool with built in spa. Raised planters and tiered gardens anchor this space to the surrounding natural beauty, with the meandering paths linking to it in six locations to facilitate the journey into the wooded compound.
Scott Turf and Landscape CompanyDan had a concrete driveway that was cracking and coming apart. We removed that eyesore and constructed a 2300 sq ft Driveway comprised of Belgard Cambridge Cobble Pavers in a 2 piece muster K pattern. We were able to widen the driveway and add curves not present prior to construction. We also widened and added walkways to each side of his front entry staircase. In the rear of the driveway area we built a retaining wall to help support that end of the driveway and encourage drainage to a location suitable to flow into the intercostal waterway. Once completed we added the natural stone stripper edging to highlight the natural areas and to deter vehicle intrusion into the areas. In the backyard we overlaid st Augustine grass because of the shaded spots and we repaired a retaining wall and step down along side the pool. We also installed a drain for the outdoor shower.
