The Master Bathroom features warm antique oak wide plank floors from Carlisle Flooring. Embossed tile wainscoting walls from Pratt and Larson envelopes the room as well as covers the shower walls. Custom vanity cabinets were painted and glazed in a light gray wash and were topped with a quartz countertop. The curvy silhouette of the mirrors as well as the embroidered window valance and area rug bring softness to the space. Motorized window shades allow for instant privacy for the claw foot tub in the bay. Shower features hex wood look tile floor, bench seat, 3 shower heads including rain shower head in oil rubbed bronze finish.

Once a dated bathroom with a sunken tub, this bathroom was converted to an open, bright, modern, and spa-like bathroom. The vanity with custom, floating mirrors allows for the clients to catch a glimpse of the lake beyond the mirrors. A stand-alone, soaking tub is nestled on the lake side of the bathroom surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. A unique design feature of a wall to wall storage niche accents the large walk-in shower.

This bathroom was meant to represent the shoreline of a beach.

This Grant Park house was built in 1999. With that said, this bathroom was dated, builder grade with a tiny shower (3 ft x 3 ft) and a large jacuzzi-style 90s tub. The client was interested in a much larger shower, and he really wanted a sauna if squeeze it in there. Because this bathroom was tight, I decided we could potentially go into the large walk-in closet and expand to include a sauna. The client was looking for a refreshing coastal theme, a feel good space that was completely different than what existed. This was an update from a combination Tub/Shower Bath into a more modern walk -in Shower. We used a sliding barn door shower enclosure and a sleek large tile with a metallic pencil trim to give this outdated bathroom a much needed refresh. We also incorporated a laminate wood wall to coordinate with the tile. The floating shelves helped to add texture and a beautiful point of focus. The vanity is floating above the floor with a mix of drawers and open shelving for storage.

We were excited to take on this master bathroom remodel for a young couple looking to update their recently purchased condo on the water in Playa Del Rey. They were looking for a modern version of the classic his and hers bathroom complete with double shower and colors inspired by the nearby Pacific Ocean. Located on the top floor of their building the master bathroom features a sky light allowing for natural light. The true double shower features a Kohler shower tower with built in body sprayers, hand held and dual shower heads. Unique to this design is that the double shower also features dual shower benches. There are even two shower niches to ensure that both sides are equal. Marble was used throughout the shower and bathroom. Above the commode is a floating toiletry cabinet mounted to the wall. All of the cabinetry is espresso. The bottom of the cabinet allows for open shelving. The his and hers vanities are separated by a full height center linen closet and drawers. Since wall space was at a premium, towel rings were mounted to the cabinetry and an integrated towel bar is on the shower door. Robe hooks hang on the glass shower walls. The walls of the bathroom are green with an accent tile separating the marble wainscoting. The accent tiles are an ocean themed blue / green mix. The bathroom is finished off with a pocket door.

This tired 80′s Bath needed an update. The Homeowner approached Cathy & Ed of Renovisions who set to work planning this major facelift. The bath including a pink fiberglass shower stall was gutted and replaced with a custom built walk-in shower with marble shelves, seat using Silestone’s ‘Seleno’ quartz, Crossville porcelain floor and wall tile, Luxury Grab Bar/Hand Held Shower, Thermostatic valve and trim in polished gold finish. Frameless Shower glass enclosure finishes this spa-like escape. New Bow front Vanity in antique white painted finish and Silestone’s ‘Seleno’ quartz countertop provides not only extra storage but a luxurious retreat in this bath.
