Mister Chop Shop is a men's barber located in Bondi Junction, Sydney. This new venture required a look and feel to the salon unlike it's Chop Shop predecessor. As such, we were asked to design a barbershop like no other - A timeless modern and stylish feel juxtaposed with retro elements. Using the building’s bones, the raw concrete walls and exposed brick created a dramatic, textured backdrop for the natural timber whilst enhancing the industrial feel of the steel beams, shelving and metal light fittings. Greenery and wharf rope was used to soften the space adding texture and natural elements. The soft leathers again added a dimension of both luxury and comfort whilst remaining masculine and inviting. Drawing inspiration from barbershops of yesteryear – this unique men’s enclave oozes style and sophistication whilst the period pieces give a subtle nod to the traditional barbershops of the 1950’s.

Pour pallier à l’aménagement existant très sommaire de cet appartement 2 pièces, Cinqtrois à entièrement remodelé le noyau central avec la cuisine et les sanitaires. La cuisine s’est ouverte sur l’espace du salon donnant la sensation d’un espace à vivre plus grand, plus lumineux et plus fonctionnel. La salle de bain a été totalement repensée pour créer un espace confortable et intime.. La chambre s’est dotée d’un espace dressing. La combinaison des couleurs (bleu, vert, noir, gris clair) et celle des matériaux (bois brut, zellige, carrelage effet acier rouillé) jouent les contrastes pour créer une ambiance industrielle chic. We project managed the entire refurbishment of this two bedroom flat which involved some major reconfiguration of both floors. Upstairs we created a stylish master suite with walk in wardrobes and through the smoked grey crittall door, this small but perfectly formed ensuite.

A dark and moody ensuite is accented with timber detailing and natural light through the obscured louvres and the skylight positioned over the bath
