Ed Sossich at Main Line Kitchen DesignEd Sossich at Main Line Kitchen Design
Ed Sossich and Main Line Kitchen Design owner Paul McAlary have worked together at many different showrooms over 20 plus years. Ed refers to the pair as Batman and Robin although who is who is up for debate. Bringing Ed on to check and expedite all of Main Line Kitchen Design’s orders has kept mistakes and delays at our expanding company to a minimum. Ed, (Batman or Robin), your guess, can be found checking our company’s orders and designing his customer’s kitchens in our new Upper Darby office on City Line Avenue. Ed is quick with a joke although his yellow legal pad is no joking matter for our designers. Ed makes the trains run on time at Main Line Kitchen Design.

The open concept Great Room includes the Kitchen, Breakfast, Dining, and Living spaces. The dining room is visually and physically separated by built-in shelves and a coffered ceiling. Windows and french doors open from this space into the adjacent Sunroom. The wood cabinets and trim detail present throughout the rest of the home are highlighted here, brightened by the many windows, with views to the lush back yard. The large island features a pull-out marble prep table for baking, and the counter is home to the grocery pass-through to the Mudroom / Butler's Pantry.

Located in the hills of Belmont with beautiful views, we took advantage of the opportunity to make the window the focal point when redesigning this space. Simple changes like removing interior walls helped open up the overall kitchen beyond our clients original expectations.
A Modern Historical Kitchen
A Modern Historical Kitchen
CMC Design Studio LLCCMC Design Studio LLC
This kitchen was crafted with a historical feel, like the homeowner built onto an existing property. The barn beams, reclaimed wide plank wood floors and custom, hand-crafted cabinetry and hand forged lighting appeals to the senses of old while the professional appliances allow the homeowner to function in the present!

This colorful quirky-kitschy sophisticated ranch set in the foothills of Colorado boast an interesting use of materials. Hand-forged galvanized metal refrigerator door panels, rusted Coreten Steel backsplash, and oversized hammered metal island pendants add layers to this rustic kitchen.

Neil Kelly CompanyNeil Kelly Company
The "Dream of the '90s" was alive in this industrial loft condo before Neil Kelly Portland Design Consultant Erika Altenhofen got her hands on it. The 1910 brick and timber building was converted to condominiums in 1996. No new roof penetrations could be made, so we were tasked with creating a new kitchen in the existing footprint. Erika's design and material selections embrace and enhance the historic architecture, bringing in a warmth that is rare in industrial spaces like these. Among her favorite elements are the beautiful black soapstone counter tops, the RH medieval chandelier, concrete apron-front sink, and Pratt & Larson tile backsplash

Distinctive CabinetryDistinctive Cabinetry
This contemporary open kitchen remodel in Oakland Hills is dreamy. Highlights include custom black cabinetry by Eclipse cabinetry and luscious soapstone countertops and backsplash. Top-end appliances such as a subzero fridge, Thermador wall oven, speed oven, warming drawer, and induction cooktop and Miele paneled dishwasher make this kitchen a joy. The Custom Eclipse cabinetry offers plenty of storage while more soapstone flows into the dining room for serving and storage.

Log homes have challenges, this remodel with its new floor plan brought in soft grey cabinets, soapstone c-tops, and a marble backsplash. View from the living room. The apron front sink has a farmhouse feel but the appliances are all modern. A banquette can seat many guests while affording views of nature. There's a coffee center, a hidden cabinet for the microwave and a nook for a TV. A light rail system allows for pendants to hang in the two-story vaulted ceiling over the banquette. It's a uniquely personal space that now functions brilliantly for the homeowners.
