An old and dark transitionary space was transformed into a bright and fresh dining room. The room is off a conservatory and brings the outside in the house by using plants and greenery.

This is a project for our clients' new home where we worked to select new pieces to team with the old in an attempt to achieve a cohesive look that encompasses both client's personalities and individuality. We took both traditional and contemporary styles and combined them to pull together a space where both parties feel at home. It worked! The client's comment when interviewed for Housetrends magazine stated "Even though we both came from our own homes, those are a foreigh place now. We feel relaxed and at home in our new space."

A "Home" should be the physical 'representation' of an individual's or several individuals' personalities. That is exactly what we achieved with this project. After presenting us with an amazing collection of mood boards with everything they aspirated to, we took onboard the core of what was being asked and ran with it.
We ended up gutting out the whole flat and re-designing a new layout that allowed for daylight, intimacy, colour, texture, glamour, luxury and so much attention to detail. All the joinery is bespoke.

Eclectic dining room, travertine planter from Italy with fig leaf tree. The table has a rectangular glass top and the chairs were upholstered on a plum damask velvet fabric. The chandelier is a heavy rectangular explosion of 40LB of crystals.

In the dining room, the formerly plastic-encased seating was reupholstered in a contemporary gray fabric. To create an interesting detail, a stripe pattern was used on the front of the chairs and a solid color on the back. The table, chandelier and cabinet remained and we brought in the mirror and shelf that once hung in the living room. The shelf now functions as a much needed server under the window in the dining room.
