We worked on a complete remodel of this home. We modified the entire floor plan as well as stripped the home down to drywall and wood studs. All finishes are new, including a brand new kitchen that was the previous living room.

The media room is Amazing and photos really tell the story! Rebuilt and Rewired for the optimal viewing experience this room is a dream. The riser and bar top give the room and 3 tiered seating environment. The wet bar is complete with mini fridge, ice machine, and microwave. Accent lighting from LED recessed cans and wall sconces really set the mood for the perfect movie night or watching the big game! The list of equipment wired and installed in this home is huge, but the functionality of it all was made simple with seamless integration by Savant. Our owners can wirelessly control all of their media devices in the home (interior and exterior) as well as several other key components. Lighting was integrated with lutron programmable switches as well.

Time Frame: 6 Weeks // Budget: $17,000 // Design Fee: $2,500 Brandon Browner and his family needed help with their game room in their home in Ganesha Hills, CA. They already purchased a large sectional to watch their over-sized theater screen and a pool table. Their goal was to make the room as dark during the day as it was at night for optimal TV viewing. What started out as a masculine color scheme warped into a Seattle Seahawks color scheme. This worked perfectly, since Brandon is a professional football player and previously played for the Seahawks as a member of the Legion of Boom. He requested his jersey and teammate’s jerseys be professionally framed so we could display them. I had custom black-out window coverings made and installed high to block the daylight. A custom cabinet in a slate-blue finish was made to house all the audio equipment. I had the pool table re-felt in a grey to coordinate with the room’s decor. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore Pewter and all trim received a fresh coat of Cloud Cover. The finishing touch to block out the light was a large, custom sliding door I had made to separate this room from the family room. Built in media wall unit done for client in Palm Beach Florida. This beautiful unit is installed on the tenth floor in a condominium. It is installed in the living room with a lot of natural light coming in through the sliding glass doors facing the ocean. The faux finished, steel-brushed veneer paneling is made out of paldao wood. The floating console that is attached to the front of the unit by french-cleats houses the electronics for the unit and features assisted-lift blum aventos hl hinges that lift up parallel to the console.

What equipment should I add to my media room?

A projector and projector screen will lead to a more dramatic movie experience, but the picture can be slightly blurry if the equipment quality is bad. A high-definition plasma or LCD TV might not be quite as large scale, but will deliver a more crisp, clear image. You can, however, find oversized wall-mounted TVs that match the size of a projector screen – but these do cost a pretty penny. Next, enhance your cinema experience with surround sound to make the movie-goers feel like they’re right in the middle of the action. Home automation can further replicate the real cinema experience. Consider installing lights that automatically dim once the film starts, or LED strip lighting that comes on when a movie is paused.
