Our clients desired a larger kitchen with a Day of the Dead theme - this meant color EVERYWHERE! Cabinets, appliances and even custom powder-coated plumbing fixtures. Every day is a fiesta in this stunning kitchen and our clients couldn't be more pleased. Artistic, hand-painted murals, custom lighting fixtures, an antique-looking stove, and more really bring this entire kitchen together. The huge arched windows allow natural light to flood this space while capturing a gorgeous view. This is by far one of our most creative projects to date and we love that it truly demonstrates that you are only limited by your imagination. A contemporary Spanish-style kitchen renovation with a U-shaped layout in Westlake Village. Historic bronze pendant lights over a giant center island create a warm and inviting space for conversation and entertaining. Talavera medallion accent tiles and a colonial pattern above the range add pops of color and texture to the white tile backsplash. Hexagon terracotta floor tiles introduce a warm dose of color to the unexpected blend of textures and hues. Jeld Wen picture windows with push-out casements bring in plenty of natural light. This West Lafayette couple was tired of their worn out cabinets and appliances, an outdated design and a less than functional work space. They were interested in visually opening up their kitchen to allow for entertaining. Riverside Construction accomplished this by removing the wall peninsula cabinets, moving the sink under the rear window and repositioning the double ovens closer to the range top. Maple cabinets and granite countertops added a new beauty and warmth to the space, while luxury vinyl tile flooring and a travertine backsplash completed the new look. All of these remodeling improvements not only allowed for a more functional cooking space, but created the perfect environment for many friendly gatherings and parties.

The entire back of the house accommodates a kitchen that pays homage to great European country kitchens. Kitchen countertops are Bianco Carrara honed marble, antique reclaimed terra cotta tile flooring, and a glazed hexagonal oxford gray backsplash. The perimeter countertops are 3cm Bianco Carrara honed marble with an ogee edge and the island features 5cm Bianco Carrara honed marble with a simpler flat polished edge. The 4” backsplash extends around the entire perimeter expect behind the stove which is a full height Bianco Carrara splash.

The kitchen was a full remodel, along with much of the first floor. The biggest challenge in the designing the space was coordinating all of the materials to work within the kitchen as well as within the rest of the house. The home was renovated to be more of an open concept plan, so the kitchen was open to the dining room and living room. Top three notable/custom/unique features. Three notable features include the brick tile floor, custom wood countertop on the island and professional cooking appliances. The stainless steel farm sink and glass doors on the raised bar top add more detail throughout the space. The project also included a mudroom and pantry area, complete with the same cabinets as shown in the kitchen.
