This Oceanside home, built to take advantage of majestic rocky views of the North Atlantic, incorporates outside living with inside glamor.
Sunlight streams through the large exterior windows that overlook the ocean. The light filters through to the back of the home with the clever use of over sized door frames with transoms, and a large pass through opening from the kitchen/living area to the dining area.
Retractable mosquito screens were installed on the deck to create an outdoor- dining area, comfortable even in the mid summer bug season. Photography: Greg Premru

In this kitchen, we love the warm honey colored maple this laminate mimics.
Soucie Horner, Ltd.
A fresh take on traditional style, this sprawling suburban home draws its occupants together in beautifully, comfortably designed spaces that gather family members for companionship, conversation, and conviviality. At the same time, it adroitly accommodates a crowd, and facilitates large-scale entertaining with ease. This balance of private intimacy and public welcome is the result of Soucie Horner’s deft remodeling of the original floor plan and creation of an all-new wing comprising functional spaces including a mudroom, powder room, laundry room, and home office, along with an exciting, three-room teen suite above. A quietly orchestrated symphony of grayed blues unites this home, from Soucie Horner Collections custom furniture and rugs, to objects, accessories, and decorative exclamationpoints that punctuate the carefully synthesized interiors. A discerning demonstration of family-friendly living at its finest.

Housed in an addition and an original sun porch area, we have created a modern kitchen with a nod to the original period of this historic home. The kitchen is open to a beamed ceiling sitting room which can be used either as a Family Room or a Breakfast Room. The kitchen connects to a large deck and landscaped yard. Thermador appliances, pendant lighting, and every feature a cook could want make this a dream kitchen for the future buyer.
Jeannette Architects
The original kitchen of this home was very small and compact. We removed a small rear den to open the kitchen to the rear yard, capturing more light and views to the newly remodeled covered outdoor patio which used to be an open air deck. The Patio is now a new outdoor living room with Fireplace, TV, Fans and Music. Architect: Jeff Jeannette, Jeannette Architects, Long Beach CA. Owner selected finishes

This kitchen had the old laundry room in the corner and there was no pantry. We converted the old laundry into a pantry/laundry combination. The hand carved travertine farm sink is the focal point of this beautiful new kitchen.
Notice the clean backsplash with no electrical outlets. All of the electrical outlets, switches and lights are under the cabinets leaving the uninterrupted backslash. The rope lighting on top of the cabinets adds a nice ambiance or night light.
