Coastal Vacation Estates
Luxurious modern sanctuary, remodeled 1957 mid-century architectural home is located in the hills just off the Famous Sunset Strip. The living area has 2 separate sitting areas that adorn a large stone fireplace while looking over a stunning view of the city.
I wanted to keep the original footprint of the house and some of the existing furniture. With the magic of fabric, rugs, accessories and upholstery this property was transformed into a new modern property.
Krista + Home
Design by Krista Watterworth Design Studio in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Photo by Lesley Unruh. A newly constructed home on the intercoastal waterway. A fun house to design with lots of warmth and coastal flair.
MossCreek
Located overlooking the ski resorts of Big Sky, Montana, this MossCreek custom designed mountain home responded to a challenging site, and the desire to showcase a stunning timber frame element.
Utilizing the topography to its fullest extent, the designers of MossCreek provided their clients with beautiful views of the slopes, unique living spaces, and even a secluded grotto complete with indoor pool.
This is truly a magnificent, and very livable home for family and friends.

Color Craftsmen: Fireplace Makeovers
This wood ceiling needed something to tone down the grain in the planks. We were able to create a wash that did exactly that.
The floors (reclaimed red oak from a pre-Civil War barn) needed to have their different colors highlighted, not homogenized. Instead of staining the floor, we used a tung oil and beeswax finish that was hand buffed.
Our clients wanted to have reclaimed wood beams in their ceiling, but could not use true old beams as they would not be sturdy enough to support the roof. We took their fresh- cut fir beams and used synthetic plasters, paints, and glazes to give them an authentic aged look.
