While the bathroom portion of this project has received press and accolades, the other aspects of this renovation are just as spectacular. Unique and colorful elements reside throughout this home, along with stark paint contrasts and patterns galore.

This custom home is derived from Chinese symbolism. The color red symbolizes luck, happiness and joy in the Chinese culture. The number 8 is the most prosperous number in Chinese culture. A custom 8 branch tree is showcased on an island in the pool and a red wall serves as the background for this piece of art. The home was designed in a L-shape to take advantage of the lake view from all areas of the home. The open floor plan features indoor/outdoor living with a generous lanai, three balconies and sliding glass walls that transform the home into a single indoor/outdoor space.

The great room with floor to ceiling view of the forest, bi-fold glass doors to open the room to the outdoor living space with fire pit, large organic custom rock trimmed hot tub, and forest beyond. The room features a fireplace with glass windows that look onto the stone wrapped chimney. Steel C channels support the main ridge beam and are shown at the top of the photograph.

The client wanted to highlight the piano, while still creating a room that was inviting, and conversational. By using an acrylic waterfall coffee table, we kept the emphasis where it should be - on the piano.

The living room is connected to the outdoors by telescoping doors that fold into deep pockets.

This elegant expression of a modern Colorado style home combines a rustic regional exterior with a refined contemporary interior. The client's private art collection is embraced by a combination of modern steel trusses, stonework and traditional timber beams. Generous expanses of glass allow for view corridors of the mountains to the west, open space wetlands towards the south and the adjacent horse pasture on the east.

My client wanted some wall units built in so she could display some art pottery that she collects. Her husband plays many musical instruments. Instead of the "same ole, same ole" why not create art with the build in to house the art displayed? The beautiful guitar was trimmed with abalone and turquoise and was beautiful and I thought it should be seen and admired so I created a guitar shaped niche with bookmatched grain surround and spotlight. The shelves were various sizes and shapes to accomodate a variety of artifacts. A couple of feature shapes were also lit.

Boho Southwestern is this space. Vintage rugs with jute and natural woods. Plants help make this interior feel the natural elements from outdoors.
