We chose a beautiful inky blue for this London Living room to feel fresh in the daytime when the sun streams in and cozy in the evening when it would otherwise feel quite cold. The colour also complements the original fireplace tiles.
We took the colour across the walls and woodwork, including the alcoves, and skirting boards, to create a perfect seamless finish. Balanced by the white floor, shutters and lampshade there is just enough light to keep it uplifting and atmospheric.
The final additions were a complementary green velvet sofa, luxurious touches of gold and brass and a glass table and mirror to make the room sparkle by bouncing the light from the metallic finishes across the glass and onto the mirror

Our clients wanted a peaceful retreat to make the most of their time at home. During the Pandemic, they desired a space full of different textures, plants, and smells. Our team made the best of their existing living room features by enhancing them with a calm colour palette that evoked feelings of calmness and relaxation. With a cost-conscious renovation, the home has been cleverly thought to accommodate multiple purposes without sacrificing style. The end result was a soothing oasis where they could escape from the stress of everyday life and enjoy their time together.

This room just needed a fresh coat of paint to update it. Located immediately to the left of the new bright entryway and within eyesight of the rich blue dining room. We selected a green from the oriental rug that also highlights the painting over the fireplace.

A traditional 1930 Spanish bungalow, re-imagined and respectfully updated by ArtCraft Homes to create a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home of over 1,300sf plus 400sf of bonus space in a finished detached 2-car garage. Authentic vintage tiles from Claycraft Potteries adorn the all-original Spanish-style fireplace. Remodel by Tim Braseth of ArtCraft Homes, Los Angeles. Photos by Larry Underhill.

The goal for this project was to create a space that felt “beachy” for the Lewis’ who moved from Utah to San Diego last year. These recent retirees needed a casual living room for everyday use and to handle the wear and tear of grandchildren. They also wanted a sophisticated environment to reflect this point in their lives and to have a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

This living room got a total make over. Beautiful new gray laminate flooring. A fresh coat of paint on the walls. Paint color is Sherwin William Agreeable Gray. The fireplace used to just sit flush against the wall without a mantel. We added this beautiful gray patterned tile. Made a wood mantel, and then added shiplap. We ran the shiplap vertically to carry your eye all the way up to the ceiling.
