Contemporary elements within a traditional space where the design works sympathetically with the Victorian architecture.
We love mixing old with new, and achieved this with ease here. We used modern furniture in the period rooms, and traditional in the new build where there were no existing period features. In the living areas we created a soft palette of taupes, duck egg and mid browns off the dining room where we used a striking wallpaper as a contrast, with Farrow and Ball Mouses back in the living room with accents of amethyst.
The materials were carefully chosen to add texture using velvets, silks and chenille, upholstered sofas and armchairs.
We added mirrored doors to separate the Living room and the dining room, looks wonderful when closed reflecting candle light.
