Encircling a sleek pool, this garden for a growing family offers comfortable spaces in which to play, relax and dine. New raised planters and containers overflow with citrus, herbs and colorful Mediterranean plantings. Synthetic turf provides a soft, inviting play place in a shady area of the yard. The 5' wide Moon Gate by Phil Beck hides the view of the utility road that services the extensive property. He can be reached through the Fire Dragon Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The bed to the left is lushly planted with yuccas (in bloom), ornamental cabbages, daylilies, sedums, several conifers including dwarf Blue Star Junipers. Behind the yuccas is a variegated dogwood with bright red branches throughout the winder. The grasses are Orange Sedge.

This garden had great bones - it just needed some space planning and a little TLC. Considering the size -
large!) there was hardly any seating or area to gather. We removed an old and not very attractive rose garden to create a new decomposed granite seating area with a custom fire pit and some olive trees. The rest of the garden got a major landscape re-do, with low water plants, lawn area replaced with Kurapia, drip irrigation and LED landscape lighting. The clients are delighted with the new space and what with the lighting and fire pit, can really enjoy this gorgeous garden!

This multi-use firetable is also a coffee table with a spinning lazy susan centerpiece when not using the propane fueled fire.
