Using this deep pink, purple and gray floral wallpapered accent wall as inspiration we created a one-of-a-kind bedroom for our client's granddaughter. With the repeated use of pink and purple we created a girly, but not childish haven for a young girl -- this room can easily transition from young child to maturing teen. Custom color block pinch pleat curtains, custom pillows create a cohesive space.

In this beautiful modern master suite, the previous traditional style bathroom was removed and a new clean, modern space was added using a neutral palette of light and dark grays in the porcelain tiles and wall colors. Counter tops were a crisp white quartz with white under mount sinks, and clean lines were used in the cabinet design. The fireplace was totally redesigned removing the old hearth and mantel and tiling flat against the fireplace wall to open the space.

This beautifully sited Colonial captures the essence of the serene and sophisticated Webster Hill neighborhood. Stunning architectural design and a character-filled interior will serve with distinction and grace for years to come. Experience the full effect of the family room with dramatic cathedral ceiling, built-in bookcases and grand brick fireplace. The open floor plan leads to a spacious kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances. The dining room with built-in china cabinets and a generously sized living room are perfect for entertaining. Exceptional guest accommodations or alternative master suite are found in a stunning renovated second floor addition with vaulted ceiling, sitting room, luxurious bath and custom closets. The fabulous mudroom is a true necessity for today's living. The spacious lower level includes play room and game room, full bath, and plenty of storage. Enjoy evenings on the screened porch overlooking the park-like grounds abutting conservation land.

This cocoon of a Boho bedroom has a secret: the queen size platform bed is partially built over the raised foundation of the main house, allowing us to steal a little space to make the room two feet wider. The other part of the bed provides three huge storage drawers below. I was thrilled to discover that the college age occupant-to-be had always wanted a platform bed. Mission accomplished!
To save space, the closet was also built into the raised foundation level of the house, but this is hidden by a barn door slider, so no one is the wiser.
It was requested that I design the bedroom to accommodate the existing furniture from this young woman's former bedroom. Her style is Boho, and we did it to the max! With two walls in moody dark purple and the other two in lighter lavender, the space is cozy and cheerful, youthful and contemporary, with a bit of shabby chic thrown in for good measure. Colorful patchwork pillows mix with geometrics, florals, and stripes to add to the fun.

Our Oakland studio went ultra bold with the design of the guest suite at the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse. We chose the theme of a harmonious union of the physical and virtual universe through thoughtful, curated design. We used a dichromatic color theme in the bedroom to create a soothing sanctuary. Luxurious bedding, stylish fabrics, and soft velvet window treatments add a distinctive touch. In the bathroom, we added the classic black and white color theme with stylish tiles and attractive fixtures, creating a beautiful, bold contrast. The whole project emphasizes the past-meets-present-meets-future concept resulting in our most daring design yet!
