Hired by the owners to provide interior design services for a complete remodel of a mid-century home in Berkeley Hills, California this family of four’s wishes were to create a home that was inviting, playful, comfortable and modern. Slated with a quirky floor plan that needed a rational design solution we worked extensively with the homeowners to provide interior selections for all finishes, cabinet designs, redesign of the fireplace and custom media cabinet, headboard and platform bed. Hues of walnut, white, gray, blues and citrine yellow were selected to bring an overall inviting and playful modern palette. Regan Baker Design was responsible for construction documents and assited with construction administration to help ensure the designs were well executed. Styling and new furniture was paired to compliment a few existing key pieces, including a commissioned piece of art, side board, dining table, console desk, and of course the breathtaking view of San Francisco's Bay. Previous Aleto clients called to have us work for them on their new home to update their guest bath from a dated, tired bathroom to a modern masterpiece. The homeowners keen eye for design lead to a finished bathroom worth wowing over. The clean lines with black and white finishes make for a spectacular sight while the custom live edge floating vanity warms up the space.

This "powder bath" is the only bathroom for downstairs guests in this gorgeous home, so we really had to give it some pop! Although labeled as a powder, there is actually a walk in shower in the room. We went with a calming blue palette with compliments of white, Calacatta gold marble, and french gold fixtures. . A frosted shower and one sink vanity screamed outdated, in its place now stands a gorgeous marble encased shower. Two handy niches now make storing his/her favorite body wash or shampoo easy. Creating a striking contrast against the white marble and white walls are Brazilian slate tiles that cascade across the entire chevron patterned bathroom floor to the square shower pan.
