Voici une cuisine qui à du caractère ! Des meubles noirs, un plan de travail en chêne massif et une crédence en carreaux métro ; j'ai voulu une ambiance rétro, une cuisine qui se démarque du reste de la pièce très claire !
DIY Splashbacks
We love it when clients send us photographs of their fitted splashbacks.
We continually buy new designs and images for our glass splashback collections. Buying for the public can be tricky, as it’s hard not to simply buy what we like!
We have to buy a varied mix of designs, that will appeal to different types of customers.
We recently bought a range of pastel and watercolour designs for Spring 2015.
Imagine our delight when we received this photograph of our ’Rainbow Macaroons’ printed glass splashback.
The clients new splashback is the perfect backdrop to the pastel blue cupboards. We love overall scheme, which has a slight nod to the 1950’s with simple lines, retro accessories and a simple palette.
Puerta Bella Interior Design
We remodeled this tiny 1970s kitchen and transformed it into a cute and charming retro inspired kitchen. We fell in love with the turquoise reproduction appliances, added white shaker cabinetry, beveled subway tile and a Caesarstone countertop that had the look and feel of soapstone. We added a crisp, white farmhouse sink and black hardware to tie in with the countertop. Client chose a simple light hardwood floor and I added a pop of turquoise on the ceiling for a surprise splash of color.

August Interiors
The homeowners, an eclectic and quirky couple, wanted to renovate their kitchen for functional reasons: the old floors, counters, etc, were dirty, ugly, and not usable; lighting was giant fluorescents, etc. While they wanted to modernize, they also wanted to retain a fun and retro vibe. So we modernized with functional new materials: quartz counters, porcelain tile floors. But by using bold, bright colors and mixing a few fun patterns, we kept it fun. Retro-style chairs, table, and lighting completed the look.
