Integrating trash cans and other unsightly items into cabinetry is another way to create order in bathrooms and kitchens. Specialty pullouts can also be used when there is not enough room to have drawers of sufficient size or if symmetry is needed.

This is what I call a "DIY (do-it-yourself) Rescue." These clients contacted me after attempting to renovate on their own, only to realize they needed professional input. They asked me to tie together the selections they had already made and to make the space look larger, rather than smaller, despite the contrast of materials. I added a second mirror, repainted the walls and baseboards, swapped out the countertop, and accessorized, and my clients were very pleased with the end result!

A master bathroom complete with a separate toilet room that features a wall mounted floating toilet with hidden storage on the sides and above the toilet for linen and bathroom toiletry storage. Custom wood panels are behind the toilet and the rest of the walls are covered in a linen fabric wallpaper.

Chiseled Travertine Countertop. This bathroom vanity features an Ivory Travertine countertop with a unique chiseled edge. Executed on-site using granite sheers, we chiseled, or in this case ‘chomped’, the outer edges of the Travertine to create a rustic and natural aesthetic. This bathroom vanity also features a broken edge backsplash using Ivory, Noche and Walnut Travertine, a vessel sink and stained American Cherry cabinets.

Grouping items together on one large tray is a wonderful way to eliminate messiness, which can quickly overwhelm a countertop.
