Pete Fusaro, owner and founder of Preferred Builders, is not just the builder of fine homes. Pete is a Master Certified Green Professional and builder of The Performance House — recognized as one of Connecticut’s “greenest” houses. From the outside, the traditional Nantucket style, 2,800 sq. ft. house of the future looks no different than other homes in the neighborhood. However, that’s where the similarity ends. Every detail in the Performance House was scrutinized with the objective of creating a beautiful, stylish home that would meet or exceed industry Green Building Standards. “I want everyone to understand the rigorous energy-efficiency requirements we adhered to, to achieve these recognitions,” Pete said. The windows were no exception.
