The layout of this early 90’s home was adequate for the husband when he was just living there. However, now the family of three and their loving cat live there together; the space quickly became confined and inadequate. The Clients contacted us to discuss what their options may be to help the home feel more spacious. After a few weeks of design and engineering, we went to work on opening up the first floor to increase the size of the rooms while creating continuity with the adjoining rooms. A once tired and confined layout became a spacious, comfortable, & aesthetically pleasing space to live and entertain.

This powder room is designed to transition into the back hallway of home, coordinating with the wallpaper in hallway and the hickory hardwood flooring. Brown and beige floral wallpaper accents the selections of white cabinetry, gray quartz countertop, white under mount sink, chrome faucet and brushed nickel drawer and cabinet pulls. An embellished traditional styled bathroom mirror finishes the room.

For this ski-in, ski-out mountainside property, the intent was to create an architectural masterpiece that was simple, sophisticated, timeless and unique all at the same time. The clients wanted to express their love for Japanese-American craftsmanship, so we incorporated some hints of that motif into the designs.
In the powder bathroom design we wanted to make a statement, to create something one-of-a-kind within the confines of the restricted space, while still fitting in all of the necessary features. We used a burlap Elitis wallcovering to add texture and depth and Shakuff drizzle pendants with mixed sized glass orbs to create a dramatic effect. We continued the walnut plank flooring used in the home’s main areas and designed a custom curved concrete wall-hung sink and a wood-framed mirror to complete the unique look. Forward looking convenient features include electronic soap and tissue dispensers and built-in trash cans.
