When the house was purchased, someone had lowered the ceiling with gyp board. We re-designed it with a coffer that looked original to the house. The antique stand for the vessel sink was sourced from an antique store in Berkeley CA. The flooring was replaced with traditional 1" hex tile.

Our homeowners found this wonderful antique Victorian Gothic dresser at a local antique shop. The vanity with its mosaic copper vessel sink, is perfect for making this powder room special for their guests. The workable drawers were adapted to accommodate the sink drain and we replaced old locks on the glove drawers with sparkling crystal knobs. Photo by Matt Kocourek

The bathroom incorporated salvage doors which received custom vinyl applique (it reads "watercloset" repeatedly) at the toilet alcove. When slid left to reveal the toilet alcove, the door conceals the linen storage. Salvaged soapstone was used for the tub surround & vanity top, IKEA cabinets for vanity storage and a roll in shower with skylight. TOTO fixtures.

The powder room is a gem in this home finished with woven mahogany wood walls surrounding the vanity top. The stainless steel vessel sink is set in a wood mahogany counter top with a back lit onyx wall.

We purchased this antique sideboard buffet from craigslist and turned it into a double sink vanity. The three doors on the front made it perfect for a two sink vanity. The middle cupboard is all usable space and there is lots of storage in the other cupboards under the sinks. We put Travertine tile on top with the original sideboard wood backsplash. We added brass and crystal chandelier wall sconces, oval mirrors, Kohler white oval sinks and kept the Moen chrome vintage lever faucets we already had.

After reviving their kitchen, this couple was ready to tackle the master bathroom by getting rid of some Venetian plaster and a built in tub, removing fur downs and a bulky shower surround, and just making the entire space feel lighter, brighter, and bringing into a more mid-century style space. The cabinet is a freestanding furniture piece that we allowed the homeowner to purchase themselves to save a little bit on cost, and it came with prefabricated with a counter and undermount sinks. We installed 2 floating shelves in walnut above the commode to match the vanity piece. The faucets are Hansgrohe Talis S widespread in chrome, and the tub filler is from the same collection. The shower control, also from Hansgrohe, is the Ecostat S Pressure Balance with a Croma SAM Set Plus shower head set. The gorgeous freestanding soaking tub if from Jason - the Forma collection. The commode is a Toto Drake II two-piece, elongated. Tile was really fun to play with in this space so there is a pretty good mix. The floor tile is from Daltile in their Fabric Art Modern Textile in white. We kept is fairly simple on the vanity back wall, shower walls and tub surround walls with an Interceramic IC Brites White in their wall tile collection. A 1" hex on the shower floor is from Daltile - the Keystones collection. The accent tiles were very fun to choose and we settled on Daltile Natural Hues - Paprika in the shower, and Jade by the tub. The wall color was updated to a neutral Gray Screen from Sherwin Williams, with Extra White as the ceiling color.

The powder room adds a bit of 'wow factor' with the custom designed cherry red laquered vanity. An LED light strip is recessed into the under side of the vanity to highlight the natural stone floor. The backsplash feature wall is a mosaic of various white and gray stones from Artistic Tile
