Crofton, MD The client wanted an opening from the kitchen to the dining room to invite gathering while entertaining. This gave me the perfect location for their request for wine storage and a freestanding wine cooler. The glass doors and interior as well as under cabinet lighting helped open up the kitchen to the dining room giving the space a nice glow. A pantry cabinet was incorporated for more storage and balance with the refrigerator.

This is a Decora Kitchen in a roasted red pepper. Solid maple 3/4″ doors, with a 3-piece crown molding. Notice the use of custom depth and modifications. The 2-end cabinets with the clipped corners started as a 12″ deep standard wall cabinet. We reduced depth & added a toe kick and clipped the corners. Decora is a great cabinet that will allow you to do almost any modification you will need, will also color match. And have a new line of inset doors.

The skinny shaker is a more modern look on the traditional shaker, and it works so well with these bold colour choices. The natural wood worktops and bronze mirror create a really warm feel in this kitchen.

With this homeowner being a geologist, they were looking for a very earthy, stone-based feel. The stone for the countertop was selected first, and then a bright color was found to match the rusted stone esthetic. The window was also opened to give life to the owner’s beautiful view and grey upper-cabinets were used to tie the appliances into the rest of the design. Under-cabinet lighting was added as well to keep the space bright and functional throughout the evening.
