Sometimes there are elements in a home that you just want to rip out and start all over with, or just hide completely - but it is not always possible in a styling for sale scenario. Sometimes you just have let the house tell its history, whether it is pretty or not. This photograph is a case in point. The 1970s faux wood panelled A/C still worked, but was a blot on the wall of the formal living room. There was no point trying to make it disappear with luxe accessories, So we just balanced its impact by keeping things simple and quirky on the mantel piece beside it.
