Nip Tuck Remodeling
Open feel Mud Room is the perfect transition from the Garage and existing home to the new addition. Colors are warm and inviting with well placed storage and built-ins. The unique feature of the cabinet above the doorway, bridges the cabinets beautifully.

A customer asked me to rearrange space under their stairs. Their low existing door was to be heightened and a new, bespoke door manufactured, an open space to be used for a pet area and a small door made to give access to a small area that was left. The masonary wall was removed and replaced with studwork and sheets of painted mdf. Each of the three areas had a perimeter of architrave.

The entry hall on the parlor level of this brownstone serves many functions. It leads to the main living and dining room and back kitchen. The mahogany newel post and handrail up to the second and third floors is original to this 1850's historic home and is one of the few architectural details that remain intact. Side seating creates a secondary zone and a hidden paneled door leads to a tiny second bath. The tonal paint selections create a dramatic impact which is enhanced by the furniture and finish selections.

This timber sideboard with strong grain detail brings an element of nature into the space as well as adding storage, working with the yellow of the walls and the large wall map to create a bright, warm space.
