The garden was defined by a series of paths. Three radial paths and two lateral paths. The central path is bluestone flagstone with step-able ground cover between the rock and two pergolas define the main axis. The other paths are quarter-minus gravel with steel edging.
There is a profusion of perennials to attract pollinators and give color to the garden from spring through fall.
Greenhouse to Garden
This is a small landscape refresh project that one of our customers completed in Whitby (Brooklin) Ontario. The front yard flower bed was re-edged with some new sod laid down in severe damaged areas, as well as some new accent flowers and a beautiful Japanese Maple. The rear yard was over seeded to repair the damaged lawn and 4 emerald cedars, 3 clematis, and a variety of ground plantings were inserted into the landscape. Within the next year or so, this landscape will establish itself and look AMAZING.

I planted mainly perennials with year round summer. The read of the garden is part shade so we planted up lots of shade loving plants with difference textures. The top of the garden is in full sun and is an explosion of colour with a colour palette of maroon, purple, pink, blue and contrasting yellow
a Blade of Grass
The bluestone patio was screened from the neighbors with a wall of arborvitae. Lush perennial gardens provide flower cutting opportunities and color to offset the green wall.

The Entry and Parking Courtyard : The approach to the front of the house leads up the driveway into a spacious cobbled courtyard framed by a series of stone walls , which in turn are surrounded by plantings. The stone walls also allow the formation of a secondary room for entry into the garages. The walls extend the architecture of the house into the garden allowing the house to be grounded to the site and connect to the greater landscape.
