An American classic, Townsend is characterized by an elegant patina of aged chestnut with a smooth, satin finish. Originally one of the most popular building materials for American homes, chestnut has all but disappeared due to a chestnut blight in the early 1900s and can now only be sourced through reclaiming historic structures. Here tung oil, first used to waterproof naval ships in the 14th century, penetrates deep into the pores of this rare wood and enhances its warm golden tones while providing a durable and radiant product.

A beautiful contemporary swag treatment to frame a wall of windows and French doors leading to the relaxing and beautiful flagstone pool of this luxurious home. This stunning window treatment is a frame for the focal point of this lovely home. The feature fabric is a beautiful faux embroidered silk of an open pool swag on a fluted wood pole. The panels are made of a fine dupioni silk. Four luxurious layers are in this stunning treatment to make it look rich and full. Fine couture sewing skills of English curtain making went into the fabrication of this window treatment. Designed and fabricated by Melissa Hammann of Riviera Décor Corpus Christi, Texas.
