Small space does not equate to compromise on style. This fabulous office we created by playing with the existing architecture. We cut into a deep closet to create a niche. We followed the lines of the roofline to maximize the shelving. This creates a fabulous and functional office in an otherwise unused room.

The home owner often felt cold while working in his office. This was addressed by using warm and inviting tones, by wrapping the walls in grass cloth, and adding a plush area carpet. Custom drapes not only added warmth but added colour. By using a variety of woods and techniques (Shou Sugi Ban); this custom wood ceiling feature creates a luxurious and dramatic statement in the office.

Mixing contemporary style with traditional architectural features, allowed us to put a fresh new face, while keeping the familiar warm comforts. Multiple conversation areas that are cozy and intimate break up the vast open floor plan, allowing the homeowners to enjoy intimate gatherings or host grand events. Matching white conversation couches were used in the living room to section the large space without closing it off. A wet bar was built in the corner of the living room with custom glass cabinetry and leather bar stools. Carrera marble was used throughout to coordinate with the traditional architectural features. And, a mixture of metallics were used to add a touch of modern glam.

A comfortable home office to work in as well as great guests. Custom designed furniture with an angled desk and credenza. The walls are upholstered in gray linen fabric and the same fabric for the window treatment with an interesting border design flanking the the bright contemporary art. The room is acoustically sound because of the upholstered walls adding a luxurious yet comfortable ambiance to this home office. Royal blue chairs add the spark and coordinates with the art in this neutral home office.

We used cool tones of blue and gray for this client's serene basement renovation project paired with subdued coastal accents.
One of our main goals for this project was to transform our client's office space complete with a soft blue and gray accent wall, flat roman window treatment, and walnut floating shelves; as well as subtle gold accents in both the artwork and hardware on this gorgeous custom desk.
