MDB Design GroupA Glendale couple with a classic Tudor home wanted to remodel their kitchen and adjacent laundry and breakfast rooms to make it more functional while creating design elements that exemplified their personal taste and would work for how they cook and live.
At our first discussion, we agreed that the 3 rooms needed a complete facelift including new cabinets, appliances, flooring, lighting and finishes. The existing architecture: walls, windows and doors were left in place. They prefer warm tones but didn’t want it to get too dark since the existing windows face north.

Home Expressions Interiors by Laura Bloom Inc.Client purchased an older home and wanted to achieve an uncluttered, modern and bright kitchen that complimented the traditional elements of the home. Blue-gray base cabinets feel fresh while helping to ground and soften the crisp white of surrounding subway tile, quartz counter tops and upper cabinets. Simple Shaker style custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances and sink complete the chef inspired classic yet modern feel.
Farmer's Daughter Interiors & DesignIn the kitchen, white cabinetry feels so fresh + classic and the black hardware we chose is the perfect punctuation to draw attention to details in the millwork. We chose a backsplash that has both grey and brown tones while still feeling simple enough to coordinate perfectly with the veined quartz countertop. A large window over the sink provides the space with an ample amount of natural light but we added in these fun geometric pendants lights over the island to help define the space and tie in the black hardware. The island itself is custom-stained in a finish the clients hand selected; in fact, it was one of the first things chosen in the whole house! The flooring throughout the living room + kitchen space is a cork product which is durable yet soft underfoot and environmentally friendly. Points all around!

Envision Custom Renovations"The owner of this 700 square foot condo sought to completely remodel her home to better suit her needs. After completion, she now enjoys an updated kitchen including prep counter, art room, a bright sunny living room and full washroom remodel.
In the main entryway a recessed niche with coat hooks, bench and shoe storage welcomes you into this condo.
As an avid cook, this homeowner sought more functionality and counterspace with her kitchen makeover. All new Kitchenaid appliances were added. Quartzite countertops add a fresh look, while custom cabinetry adds sufficient storage. A marble mosaic backsplash and two-toned cabinetry add a classic feel to this kitchen.
In the main living area, new sliding doors onto the balcony, along with cork flooring and Benjamin Moore’s Silver Lining paint open the previously dark area. A new wall was added to give the homeowner a full pantry and art space. Custom barn doors were added to separate the art space from the living area.
In the master bedroom, an expansive walk-in closet was added. New flooring, paint, baseboards and chandelier make this the perfect area for relaxing.
To complete the en-suite remodel, everything was completely torn out. A combination tub/shower with custom mosaic wall niche and subway tile was installed. A new vanity with quartzite countertops finishes off this room.
The homeowner is pleased with the new layout and functionality of her home. The result of this remodel is a bright, welcoming condo that is both well-designed and beautiful. "
CUSTOM CRAFT - Design Build RemodelWith the transformation of the peninsula to an island, an open path to the patio doors was created without sacrificing the extra sitting room in the kitchen (thanks to the bowed out island).
'g' Green Design CenterSink Detail with Recycled Glass Inlay - Our clients wanted to remodel their kitchen so that the prep, cooking, clean up and dining areas would blend well and not have too much of a kitchen feel. They asked for a sophisticated look with some classic details and a few contemporary flairs. The result was a reorganized layout (and remodel of the adjacent powder room) that maintained all the beautiful sunlight from their deck windows, but create two separate but complimentary areas for cooking and dining. The refrigerator and pantry are housed in a furniture-like unit creating a hutch-like cabinet that belies its interior with classic styling. Two sinks allow both cooks in the family to work simultaneously. Some glass-fronted cabinets keep the sink wall light and attractive.
