“My husband and I have followed Michael Klement, the Principal at Architectural Resource, at the Ann Arbor home shows and remodeling tours for years. His passion for the work he does is evident in everything he does, and is delightful to listen to during his tours. We've visited every home that has been open for tours and no two are alike. His talent is so broad - from respecting a classic Italianate design, to creating a found-art energy efficient modern masterpiece. He excels at listening to what the customer is looking for and delivering perfection. He blends brilliant design with smart, efficient, architectural engineering. After years of dreaming of what Michael could do for us, we were finally in a position to consider hiring him. He met us at our home and talked with us about our "ultimate vision of living". We can see how this approach could lead to the perfect personalized homes that we had toured. He walked us through the design process and laid out an estimate for pricing. After the meeting I was so energized and excited that it took 2 hours to fall asleep (it was way past my bedtime!). Ultimately, we couldn't find a piece of empty property with the location / features we wanted for a price that would allow us to build new with Michael. So we purchased a home with "potential" and are saving up for the chance to do a remodel/rebuild with him on this property. We wouldn't dream of working with anyone else.”

“Consulting on a very large gymnasium project. Grace chapel church Waterford started a very large gymnasium project that would tear down the existing gym ( from previous school building ) and rebuild moder gym under the existing (newer) roof structure. Project cost is over 700,000.”

“My husband and I originally worked with Brad and Theresa Angelini in 1991 when we bought our home. We did a whole house renovation. In addition to detailed architectural drawings they provided three dimensional models showing what the home would look like after the renovation. It was an absolute delight to work with them and a major plus to work with a husband and wife team. Over the years we have worked with them several more times on various projects including expansion of a room through an exterior wall, redoing the deck, roof, and siding, adding additional windows to the home, etc. Each time they have been wonderful to work with. “We worked with Stan Monroe to design and build our home on land we had purchased several years earlier. Stan listened as we discussed how we wanted our home to work, and designed a floor plan that met our expectations in the contemporary style that we liked and that took into considerations the features of the lot on which the house was to be built. Interesting design features were incorporated as the design of the house evolved, and the result is a wonderful family home that is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming to guests. Any elements that exceeded budget were our own choices, and deadlines were met throughout the process. Some of my favorite design features are the ceilings, curved walls and the custom glass front door that Stan designed. He insisted that a glass door was the best choice for the front of out house. We did not like the front of the house being wide open to the street. Stan designed a sand-blasted pattern on the glass in the door that gave us privacy, and added a beautiful design element that echoed the other curves in the house. We have been in our home for 16 years and still love the design. The entire process was a pleasure.”

“I can't say enough great things about our experience working with AZD on our dream home! This is NOT the only architect that we looked at and based on their creativity, personalities involved and the work they've done for us we definitely made the right choice. I also very much liked that they had a clear pricing model that was concise. Other architects that we met with in the area couldn't provide us with much clarity and only left us more confused on how much it might cost. Our house will be out here on Houzz at some point and you'll see why we're excited about the work they've done and their creativity....it's going to be a very cool house! My wife shares the same sentiment as I do with our AZD experience and how fun it's been and still is as we plan to break ground. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an enjoyable experience when planing a home whether traditional or modern. We actually found them by dumb luck as we were talking about building our dream home many years ago. We spent countless hours and weekends driving around looking at homes for years. There were four houses that we loved, although each very different, and we kept going back and looking at them. They were all many miles apart and in different cities in our metro area. Ironically, one went up for sale, and in the Realtor.com listing it said "designed by AZD". I had never heard of them but with a simple google search their site popped up and looking at their portfolio it was interesting to find that the four houses we loved were all designed by AZD. We still looked at other Architects just to be completely informed, and as I said above, we know for certain we made the right choice to go with AZD. Building a dream home is about the total experience...the right Architect makes a huge difference in that experience.”
