Bob Burnett Architecture
Architects in Leeston, Canterbury
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars24 May 2016
“I have worked with the BBA team providing landscape design services for several residences around Christchurch and have found them fantastic to work with. They are enthusiastic and responsive to new ideas, materials and approaches and their expertise in sustainable design strategies provides a great inspiration for environmentally friendly landscapes. Perhaps the best testimonial is meeting BBA clients who remain totally in love with their homes many years after it was built.”
MCAS - Max Capocaccia Architecture Studio
Architects in Leeston, Canterbury
Average rating: 4 out of 5 stars27 November 2017
“When it came to building our own house, Max and his team came on board to help put the finishing touches on the design and detail up our plans. They were very accommodating, considering that, as clients who work in the industry, we were very much a part of the process. Max helped to push some aspects of the design architecturally, and we are really happy with the end result. They were professional but still approachable and friendly to deal with. MCAS are passionate about sustainable design, which is very important to us too, so they were a great fit for us and our project.”

Design Factum Limited

“With his international background from both Italy, Venezuela and modern Shanghai; Belfiore fully understood our brief as we tried to incorporate our experiences from when we were living in Spain, Egypt and Brazil. Our hill section was truly challenging because of its unusual shape and steepness, however; Belfiore designed the house in a way that is not only stunning but also very comfortable in terms of spaces and thermal performance, a real pleasure to live in. Everyone who visits us is amazed of how well the house flows, both from the outside-in as from the inside-out. The design was also a result of several meetings on which the need to go beyond ordinary office hours was never a problem as Belfiore is strongly committed to arrive at a design solution that reaches a high level of uniqueness while being architecturally sound and, as in our case; includes all client's wishes.”
Young Architects

“I have never seen anyone get more excited about a new building than the people of Redcliffs. I could barely get any work done! The story starts, as so many others in Christchurch, with earthquakes and demolition. The team at Young Architects has close ties to the neighbourhood, and was involved in the rebuild of the community library from the very beginning. They took up the challenge of designing an inviting public meeting space that reflects its community. From the red colour of the building to the gable construction reminiscent of the spines on a bookshelf, the library is a space Redcliffs is very proud of, as I soon learned. Since I happen to live down the road, I did more than my usual share of bullying the client into involving me. I knew the semi-translucent gable would be perfect for blue hour photography once finished. I got really excited picturing the final images in my mind's eye. When Greg Young and I finally toured the library, the degree of pride in the community was almost overwhelming. People stopped us repeatedly in the streets to tell their library stories, express how proud they are, and what a good guy Greg is. There were even a few hugs. While I was shooting the building a little while later, people repeatedly told me how happy they were with their new library. It was touching to see how connected everyone felt with this space. I hope the images will do the project justice.”

Fernandes Architects
Architects in Leeston, Canterbury
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars23 May 2019
“So so perfect. I was not the best or easiest client to work with as the concept I had was so vague and the budget was so...non-existent, I had absolutely no idea really whatsoever. Fernandes plucked the information he needed from the conversations we had and he created a perfect space that was well affordable and just right. SO GOOD> would totally recommend.”
