“We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jason of Higham Architecture. Living in our home for 2 years now, we are extremely happy with the design he produced for us. We are confident that it not only suits our lifestyle today with 2 small children, it is a design that we can see ourselves enjoying in many years to come. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and approachable with an impeccable eye for detail. We felt confident that Jason took on board our wish list in our first meeting and when he presented us with our first draft he took our vision to a whole new level. We found his communication to be friendly, prompt and professional. Whatever Jason offered or discussed with us, he followed through with and we couldn't ask for better than that. Jason was very respectable of timelines and kept in touch with us throughout our build showing genuine interest in the building process and finishing touches we chose to complete the design. We would have no hesitation in recommending Jason.”

As first time new home builders he helped us navigate the building process providing good options and advice during the process, worked well with our builder and even went the extra mile to ensure that council issued our building consent prior to Xmas so we did not have any delays in the build start date. Build was completed on time and on budget. We love our new house :)”

“With his international background from both Italy, Venezuela and modern Shanghai; Belfiore fully understood our brief as we tried to incorporate our experiences from when we were living in Spain, Egypt and Brazil. Our hill section was truly challenging because of its unusual shape and steepness, however; Belfiore designed the house in a way that is not only stunning but also very comfortable in terms of spaces and thermal performance, a real pleasure to live in. Everyone who visits us is amazed of how well the house flows, both from the outside-in as from the inside-out. The design was also a result of several meetings on which the need to go beyond ordinary office hours was never a problem as Belfiore is strongly committed to arrive at a design solution that reaches a high level of uniqueness while being architecturally sound and, as in our case; includes all client's wishes.”

“I have never seen anyone get more excited about a new building than the people of Redcliffs. I could barely get any work done! The story starts, as so many others in Christchurch, with earthquakes and demolition. The team at Young Architects has close ties to the neighbourhood, and was involved in the rebuild of the community library from the very beginning. They took up the challenge of designing an inviting public meeting space that reflects its community. From the red colour of the building to the gable construction reminiscent of the spines on a bookshelf, the library is a space Redcliffs is very proud of, as I soon learned. Since I happen to live down the road, I did more than my usual share of bullying the client into involving me. I knew the semi-translucent gable would be perfect for blue hour photography once finished. I got really excited picturing the final images in my mind's eye. When Greg Young and I finally toured the library, the degree of pride in the community was almost overwhelming. People stopped us repeatedly in the streets to tell their library stories, express how proud they are, and what a good guy Greg is. There were even a few hugs. While I was shooting the building a little while later, people repeatedly told me how happy they were with their new library. It was touching to see how connected everyone felt with this space. I hope the images will do the project justice.”

“It was an absolute pleasure working with Aaron from Urban Function to help design my dream home. I had been thinking about and planning what I wanted for years, but it wasn't until Aaron got on board and we began discussing my wants and needs that things really started to take shape. He provided a full end-to-end service, including countless design iterations and revisions as we fine tuned things to exactly as I wanted, right through to many on-site meetings helping me decide on fittings and finishes. He really seemed to take a lot of pride in the building and wanted, as much as I did, for it to turn out perfectly for me. I would never hesitate to recommend Aaron and Urban Function to anyone wanting to building their dream home. The attention to detail and flexibility with ensuring the clients desires are met are what really made the whole experience a very enjoyable one. I often find myself thinking how much I would like to do it all again! But for now we are more than happy in our dream home and will be for many years to come.”

“So so perfect. I was not the best or easiest client to work with as the concept I had was so vague and the budget was so...non-existent, I had absolutely no idea really whatsoever. Fernandes plucked the information he needed from the conversations we had and he created a perfect space that was well affordable and just right. SO GOOD> would totally recommend.”
